A Mount and The Design

I can't discuss "A Mount". Once again, I haven't got a clue what was happening there.

"The Design" was more interesting, but ultimately didn't make much more sense. So why do certain people (I think the narrator must be one), and animals, have scrimshaw designs all over their bones?

"The only person other than me in whom William ever confided will never speak of it." That sounds fatal.

I didnt care for either of these stories altho the design had some interesting moments. Again the idea of a calligraphy from another dimension.
This felt like it could have another chapter

So many of them needed another chapter. I enjoyed most of the longer stories (though this and "Keep" failed to grab me), but only one of the stories under about five pages made any sense ("Four Final Orpheuses".
