Shomeret | 1494 comments Yes, there's quite a range of quality this month. There's some of the best books I've read this year and actually some of the worst.

1)In a Different Key: The Story of Autism by John Donvan and Caren Zucker (autism history) Source: Net Galley Started: 11/29 Finished: 12/27

Why Read: I'm interested in autism, but have never read its history.

Comments: There were many revelations including the uncertainties of autism diagnosis which causes autism statistics to be uncertain as well. Rating A for amazing. See my review at
http://shomeretmasked.blogspot.com/20...

2)Burn This Book ed. Toni Morrison (anthology) 118 pages. Source: Library Started: 11/31 Finished: 12/2

Why Read: This is an anthology of essays about the political impact of writing.

Comments: I learned things from a few of these essays and wrote notes arguing with Salman Rushdie's essay. I found this book interesting. Rating B

My time is running out. That's why I decided to post about only two books in each part so I can eventually get my December reads done when I have a little bit of time to post.

To Be Continued...

Ann (annrumsey) | 16986 comments These two are a good start, Shomeret; Autism history and amazing, sign me up. From the book blurb it looks like the first case was diagnosed 75 years ago. That alone is reason to read this book and find out more about "why autism"
