JoAnne (joannemwct) | 2511 comments Not bad. Five of us have already chosen our books.
I have to finish the one I'm currently reading for a review and possibly one other before I start the one for this challenge and several others hopefully probably by Tuesday.

Danielle Gypsy Soul (afdaniellet) | 1919 comments I'm going with Midnight Pursuits (Killer Instincts, #4) by Elle Kennedy it's a #4 in the series and I borrowed it from the library so I have to finish it this week anyway.

Loved this series. I've read them all except for the last one.

Catherine | 880 comments I'm reading Nightingale Way which is book 5 in series

Finally made my choice

message 355: by Vi (new)

Vi | 624 comments I still haven't made my choice. I already have a #4 in series - Reader and Raelynx (Twelve Houses, #4) by Sharon Shinn which would be my fallback if I haven't found any other book by tonight.

Vi | 624 comments Still haven't decided.. I just finished the other book that I was reading so now I'm off to hunt for books. I'm now looking at re-reading The Alloy of Law to move on to the next one.

JoAnne (joannemwct) | 2511 comments Guess we're all on the slow side this week. Not sure if I will meet the midnight deadline tomorrow night or not. It will be close. I will definitely be able to finish it after work on Friday.
Sorry for the delay.

Hope everyone else's reading is going ok.

message 358: by Vi (new)

Vi | 624 comments Same here. I just haven't had time to read the last few days. I started a couple of #4 books but no time to read them yet. I will also not be able to meet the first deadline but should be able to finish before midnight.

The book I had to read for a review took longer than I thought. The book I started for this challenge should be a quick read but I've had stuff to do every night after work this week and it cut into my reading time!

Catherine | 880 comments I have been too crazy this week...and now it's Thursday!!! It kind of snuck up on me....but I should finish tonight :)

Crave (Fallen Angels, #2) by J.R. Ward
Crave by J.R. Ward
Date Read: 29/02/16
Rating: 4☆
How It Fits: 2 people on cover.
Review

This is the second in the Fallen Angels and follows on a few days after Jim Heron wins the first soul in a game against the Devil Devinia. This book centres very much around Jim trying to keep a fellow operative safe and try and win the second soul in the game. This is well written and keeps you interested to the end, it isn't until near the end when the identity of the soul that is to be won is revealed. As in the first book there is a romance element that is high tension. Definitely a series I'll be continuing.

Louise | 1600 comments Finally managed to get my review posted, been a busy week. Good reading everyone.

Danielle Gypsy Soul (afdaniellet) | 1919 comments Crazy week for me as well. Husband is in the hospital and I've been very sick. My poor kids are practically taking care of themselves this week. Good thing they are old enough to do that! I did finish my book though so I'll post a quick review.

Midnight Pursuits (Killer Instincts, #4) by Elle Kennedy
Book: Midnight Pursuits by Elle Kennedy
Date Read: 2/28/16
Rating: 4.5 ★
Review: This was my favorite book in the series so far. I thought that the character development was really good and the relationship also developed at a believable pace. I liked both the main characters and loved that the hero in this book was a little different. He had a strong Alpha side when pushed but he was also charming and could be laid back. I thought he was a great fit for the very tough heroine. As usual there was plenty of action and suspense but I thought it was more even then the previous book with a good mix of action/suspense and character/relationship development.
How It Fits: 4th book in Series

Truly Sweet (Sweet, Texas, #5) by Candis Terry Truly Sweet (Sweet, Texas #5) by Candis Terry
Qualification: book 5 in a series and alternate - 2 people on the cover
Finished: 3/4/16

Rating & Review: 4 stars
I'm going to miss Sweet, Texas and the Wilder brothers, their loves and their mom. This is the last book in the series and it was a nice continuation. Reuniting with the characters we've met before plus the same small town feel, alpha males and their mom who manages to keep them all in line. This time it's Jake and Annie's story and it was nice to see their love unfold.

In the back of the book there was a blurb about each of the books plus novellas that fit in between that I somehow missed. I need to add them to my TBR so I can complete the stories set in Sweet, Texas!

Just letting you all know I'm away next weekend and am only taking one or two books with me. I'll have limited selection to choose from and may not be able to finish my book in time.

Hope you have a fun trip. I always have my Nook with me when we travel and/or my Kindle so that I don't have to lug books with me anymore.

Week 7: Space 54
Nightwalker (Stormwalker, #4) by Allyson James - #4 in series
Finished: 5/3/16
Stars: 4

Review:
I'm not sure why it took me so long to keep going in this series. This book really flowed nicely and reminded how much I love Janet & her cast of characters. With the addiction of slayers and powerful artefacts that everyone what's it made for interesting reading. Luckily I have the 5th one on my kindle ready to go :)

Inferno (Robert Langdon, #4) by Dan Brown by Dan Brown
Book: Inferno (Robert Langdon, #4) by Dan Brown by Dan Brown
Date Read: 3/4/16
Rating: 4 ★
Review: After The Lost Symbol I didn't hold much hope that this series could recover BUT I was pleasantly surprised, it was extremely entertaining and hard to put down, it brought be back into the series and left me wanting to know where Robert Langdon goes from here. From start to finish you were kept guessing with the twist and turns, and even when people seemed like Robert's allies, it was a question of if they truly were and what was the motivation behind someone wanting him dead this time. Robert is in a race against the clock to drop a bombshell before he is killed. In typical Dan Brown fashion he left just enough of a cliff hanger that you absolutely are left wishing it wasn't so long until his next book in the series.
How It Fits: 4th book in Series

Nightingale Way. 4 Mar

5th in series

Rate: 5 stars

Review: well this series does not disappoint. While it was a little slow to start...and the story started away from the series location...once it got going...there was intrigue and romance. You discover that once you can let go...a whole village can and will support you in your time of need. Can't wait to continue to see where the characters go!

The Alloy of Law (Mistborn, #4) by Brandon Sanderson

Book: The Alloy of Law by Brandon Sanderson
Date Read: 5 March
Ratings: 4 stars
Review:
This is my second read of the book. This is a 4th in series that is set in the same world as the first 3 (but in the far future). The trilogy was one of my favorites and it made this author as my auto-buy for me.

The first time I read it, I was a little disappointed since it's not a pure fantasy like the first 3 but more like an adventure-fantasy. This time I knew what it was like and I was able to enjoy it more. It still doesn't compare to the first three but I'm liking it on its own. I'm definitely continuing the series.

JoAnne (joannemwct) | 2511 comments I'll choose sometime tomorrow - nothing in the alternate grabbed me. I'll look for a book 5 or 9 on my nook and kindle. If I don't find anything of interest
will probably go with a Fool's Gold reread from Susan Mallery.

Good night all - happy choosing!

Do you have a Nook or Kindle? On my Kindle I put book 5 and searched - 14 books came up. Then I searched book 9 in the search and got 4 more.
