That has happened to me 3 times so far, not this week Speedy is on 79.
I am dong 8 team challenges at the minute that have at least 1 book a week. Helps me narrow down my reading list :)

It may not end up mattering to me because I need a book published in 2009 for another challenge anyway, I'm just seeking clarification.

Ok, thanks!

WEEK 10, SPOT 75
Criteria: 7th in Series

The Cats that Stole a Million by Karen Anne Golden
Book 7 in the Cats That Series
Pages: 306
Date Completed: 3/18/16
Rating: ★★★★★
Final Thoughts:
This was excellent! Very reminiscent of the "Cat Who..." series by Lillian Jackson Braun. The cats in this series are more plentiful, but it is the pair of Siamese, Abra and Scout who are the main stars of the series. They are the ones who know when danger is coming, and when someone is about to die. They are also the ones who help Katz out of the predicaments she finds herself in. A great read and one I would gladly recommend to anyone!

Week 10 Rolled 9 = Spot 75
Choices are: 7th in a series, 5th in a series, or the alternative 2009 Link
Chosen: 2009 Link (page 96 on the list)

914 pages

Week #10

Never a Hero
My Rating: ★★★★
Date Finished: 3/20
Series Sequence: Tucker Springs #5
Final Thoughts:
What a sweet story. Here we have 2 imperfect MCs. Which happens to be one of my favorite types of MCs. One is an amputee and the other (view spoiler) . I loved their hesitant friendship turned attraction turned lovers. I really loved Nick's family. Especially June. But Owen's mom. Wow. What a piece of work. She infuriated me.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Spot 75

Book Reap the Wind by Karen Chance
Page no514
How it fits #7 in Cassandra Palmer Series
Finished 20th March 2016
Rating★★★
Review
I hated the last book in the series I felt it went nowhere and ended up almost where it started.
This time Cassie teams up with Rosier in attempt to save Pritkin from the curse and they have to go bouncing through time. Things of course do not go smoothly. Cassie's life is complicated with Rogue Acolytes, trouble with the circle, trying to control her powers, and of course the Vampires.
I liked this one a bit more than the last one but I still ha issues with it. I still find Pritkin one of the most annoying characters ever. I do like Cassie's World but I have enjoyed the Dori books more. I will read on for now.

Week #10

Pages: 914
Criteria: 2009 Link (page 96 on the list)
Date Finished: 3/24-16
Rating: ★★★★★
Review:
This was the last book in the Tawny Man Trilogy and it was very good. Each time I started reading I couldn't stop, this meant that two nights in a row I read till 3-4am. Not a good idea when you are meant to get up at 5.30 am! I liked this third book the best as it is not as heavy in the spy and assassin part as the other two books and it answers all questions.
Fitz/Tom and the Fool have a very special relationship and have had since they were children (though I can never quite figure out how old the Fool is) and the relationship keeps being challenged one way or the other.
I have discovered that Robin Hobb has written a new trilogy about Fitz and the Fool but I will read the Rain Wild Chronicles first before continuing with them as that is the order of The Realms of the Elderlings series.

Sworn to Silence by Linda Castillo
2009 (page 26)
Pages: 336
Finished: March 24, 2016
Rating: 5/5
Review: What a book! It hooked me from the first page and never let up! This is probably the best book I've read so far this year. It is graphic at times, but it wasn't bothersome to me. I didn't know who the killer was until a few pages before it was revealed. Just a really good book that I would highly recommend to anyone ... and one that leaves me wanting to read the second book in the series ASAP!!

Summer Days by Susan Mallery
7th in series
Pages: 378
Finished: March 24, 2016
Rating /5 stars
Review: I absolutely love Susan Mallery books because they are light reads with sweet love stories. Tho that being said they are almost always the same. Girl and boy met but can't like each other for a certain reason but then it just happens and they live happily ever after. This book was no exception to that. Summer days is about Heidi who lives on a mountain and raises goats for a living but Rafe tries to take the land that Heidi owns. They shouldn't be together because they are both fighting for the land but sometimes Love just happens. I do like this series and can't wait to read the next one to see what happens to a character that was already introduced throughout this series.

It's likely that this challenge will be done in the next two weeks. Just remember no FREE passes on a winning roll :D
This was a message post on the post your spot thread. Last week a team rolled a 94 which means this next week they just have to roll a 7 and finish all their books asap and the game will be over. :(

book 5 in a serie

The Hidden Child by Camilla Läckberg
Qualification: 5 in a series Fjällbacka #5
Finished: 03/24/16
Rating: 3.5/5 Stars
I was really curious to try this Swedish author. The plot is interesting, intriguing, engaging. The characters are very realistic and it was fun to see a father in paternity. The protagonist Erika finds a diary written by her mother during the war and learns more about the woman with whom she was often in conflict. Together with this diary is a Nazi medal and a blood-stained baby clothes. While she is trying to find out what secret she hides, some of her mother's childhood friends are killed. In general I liked it enough and I'll try to read other books in this series

8th in a series or a standalone. the alternative is also standalone.
:) happy reading everyone

Week #11

Pages: 186
Criteria: Standalone
Date Finished: 3/27-16
Rating: ★★★
Review:
This felt like urban fantasy but set in the 1800's. I had some difficulty with the language but it wasn't too bad. It was quite witty in places with the conversations between Nathan and his animals.

Week #11

That's What Brothers Do
My Rating: ★★★★★
Date Finished: 3/27
Series Sequence: Standalone
Final Thoughts:
This book was not soft and squishy. It was dark and graphic and brutal. There is rape, murder, abuse, torture all in graphic detail. Can't handle that? Then steer clear of this book. I loved it.

Under an English Heaven: An Ellie Kent Mystery by Alice K. Boatwright
Pages: 246
Rating: ★★★★★
Date Fininshed: 3/27/16
Final Thoughts:
This was very good. I enjoyed the mystery and the various characters and had zero patience for the police who really needed to get a clue and look elsewhere than at the Vicar's wife. Some interesting turn of events and surprising twists that I won't spoil for you, as this is one you'll want to read for yourself.
