A few months ago this book came across my recommendations on Amazon and I thought I had added it to my wishlist but did not. What I remember was that she was plain/overlooked in normal society but performed under a stage name and no one recognized her because of her make-up. The male love interest saw her on stage and wanted to make her his mistress, but she disappears after every show. I can't remember if she sings or acts.

Do you remember anything about the cover?
Those are both similar, but not it. I don't remember the cover as it was one of the many romance novels on my recommendation page.
I just read one, I can't remember the name or Author but the females name was Charlotte and her stage name was Lottie English.
