✸This is a team challenge that requires 2 books a week . The object of the game is to roll the die and move along the board. To win a team must roll past 100. Teams will roll on Thursdays & Sundays.
✸ Super Speedy Sign Ups are open now through 1/11. Then teams will be formed and the game will officially start 1/14.
✸Teams will roll The Die by clicking here on Sundays and Thursdays once their team has completed their reads. Please note you will have to change the dice to ONE die.
**VERY IMPORTANT**
A team can NOT advance if all reviews are not in by the deadline. That being said, players need to have their reviews in on Wednesday (for the Thursday roll) and on Saturday (for the Sunday roll). Real life sometimes gets in the way of play so you do have Thursday and Sunday to get your reviews in before the team is penalized.
Note: If a player fails to have their book done two times throughout the game (excluding a prearranged absence) they will no longer be a part of the team.
✸ How to pick a book:
Books are based on the spot you're on not the roll of the die.
If you land on single digit spot for example lets say you land on spot 5 then you have to read a book that's #5 in a series. For double digit numbers, for example you land on spot 48 you can read either a #4 or a #8 in a series.
✸Standalone books can be used for a 1 or a 0
✸First in a series can be used for a 1
✸I don't expect anyone to read a series out of order and for people that don't read series books that still want to play there will be an alternate option. There will be an alternate option for each spot.
✸ Half books (0.5, ½) count only for the Preceding whole number, if they meet the page requirement on goodreads.
An example:
(MacKenzie & McBrides #8.5) would count for spot 8 ✸ Books in multiple series can be used for ANY of the series. An example:
(1001 Dark Nights, #6; Lords of Deliverance, #5.5; Demonica, #10.5) can be used for spot 6 for 1001 Dark Nights, spot 5 for LoD or spot 10 for Demonica ✸There will be a separate thread for captains to post their place on the board after rolling and a separate thread for captains to post a link to the teams completed reviews.
✸Teams will have a chance to earn 1 Free Pass to roll. To earn your free pass your team has to complete their reads a day before the next roll. Once your team has done this you will have 1 free pass. The free pass will allow a team to roll if they are missing a review(s) before the cutoff. The free pass may not be used for the win. Once you've used it, you can't earn another one. It's a one time shot.
✸Re-reads are allowed
✸Page limit is 150 per goodreads
✸When using an anthology you may use any of the numbers in the book except for the .5 since this means ½. But you must review each story in the anthology.
✸Series # will be based on how GR has it listed.
✸Deadline cutoffs are based on US Central time zone (because I live in Dallas, Texas).

★ Publication years, any edition so long as it is published in the given year.
★ Covers must be at least 50%
★ Cover Item, must have the given item on the cover.
★ The alternates with links are for shelves, your book must be on the given shelf.
★ New item - Text item, your book must contain the given word and need to include the sentence with it and location when posting your review. Plurals will be ok to use.
★ Locations as long as the book takes part in the given location at some point in the book.
★ Author letters, first, middle, or last name must start with the given letter.
★ Title letters, must be the first word in the title excluding the lead ARTICLE (The, A, An...) i.e.:
An Elephant in the Garden would be considered starting with "E"
While And the Mountains Echoed would be considered starting with "A"

FOR THOSE PLAYING BOTH
★YES, you can use the same book in both challenges.
For example: Ezi is on SS Team 1 and SSS Team 3
Week 1: SS Team 1 rolled 12 (so they can read a book 1 or 2 in a series and
SSS Team 3 rolled 2 for their first roll
Ezi is allowed to read and claimInsurgent (Divergent #2) for her SS and her SSS team if she wants.
Of course, you could always challenge yourself to read different books as I did last round :D

Rating & Review: ★★★½.
I am not sure if my expectations were too high, but I didn't enjoy this book like I thought I would. This one was just kind of flat.
First of all, I didn't "feel" the chemistry between Jordana and Nathan. It felt more like insta-lust, the kind you feel when a good girl meets that bad boy you know your dad would want you to stay away from. That feeling of wanting to be the one who tames that tiger. I liked Nathan and Jordana individually though. I kept waiting for the moment Elliott Bentley Squire (Jordana's boyfriend) would be revealed to be a fiend waiting to use her for evil...I am still waiting.
Also, I am baffled at where this series is going. Not knowing the true enemy and the enemies motivations didn't really get me excited. It's like now everyone is an Atlantean descendant. Are there any plan old breedmates left anymore? There are just more questions and not enough answers, so this one was just okay for me.
When using the alternate that involves cover items, colors, or publications years, please be sure to link the Correct edition to show how the book qualifies

I saw the rule for anthologies above but can a half book be used if meets page requirement - such as
- it is #6.5 in the series. Was wondering if could be used or not? Also if we read Sherrilyn Kenyon - her books have 2- 3 series in one book - can we use whichever series # we want such as
= Dark Hunter # 16 and Dream Hunter #4 - so could be 1,4 or 6?

1. Yes, half books count only if they meet the page requirement on goodreads
An example:
(MacKenzie & McBrides #8.5) would count for spot 8...not for 5 though as it is a .5) AND it is 190 pages on goodreads.2.
(1001 Dark Nights, #6; Lords of Deliverance, #5.5; Demonica, #10.5) can be used for spot 6 for 1001 Dark Nights, spot 5 for LoD or spot 10 for Demonica BECAUSE it is 159 pages on goodreads.

1. As stated in the rules, rolls are on Central Standard Time as I live in Dallas and it's easier for me to monitor. If you need me to, I can place a timer on your team page to help you guys see what time I am on. But since you said you are CST, then we are good.
2. If the reviews aren't in on time, (Sunday 11:59pm CST), your team will lose a turn and cannot roll until the next time which would be the Thursday roll.
3. Each team has ONE free pass, which you can use in the game.
4. If all of your reviews are in, you can roll as earlier as 12:01am Sunday or 12:01am Thursday, if you are up like me watching netflix (LOL).

I'm really bad about reading the first book or two and then seeing something shiny and starting another series. I've finished a bunch between both SS and SSS though!!
Is this green enough for alternate cover green? It looks overall sort of olive greenish to me, doncha think?
