The party for this release is going to be epic. Trust me, you DON'T want to miss this. ;) https://www.facebook.com/events/14745...

This one will rock your socks off! ;) (I hope! LOL!) Here's an excerpt!

“Do you have an extra toothbrush?” I called out, heading for the bathroom.
“Use mine.”
“Use yours? That’s kind of gross.”
“Is the thought of my tongue in your mouth gross too? Because that could have an impact on our romantic relationship.” I guess he had a point there.
I went into the bathroom, washed up, did everything else that half a bowl of rum punch and three glasses of water made necessary, and then contemplated his toothbrush. Fuck it, I was going for it. I brushed my teeth and headed for the hall. I saw him lying on the sofa, punching a pillow to soften it up and I wandered in to say goodnight. Okay, and to ogle a little because he had taken his shirt off again and his body was beautiful.
“Goodnight,” I said trying not to stare. I wasn't succeeding very well and the amused look on his face told me that he had noticed.
“Goodnight,” he said, trying not to look at my boobs, bouncing around jauntily under McGruff the Crime Dog as I moved. He wasn't succeeding too well either, I might add.
“If you need anything I’ll be in there,” I said glancing off toward his bedroom.
“It’s my apartment, I’m sure I can find whatever I need.” He gave into temptation and let his eyes drop for a moment to my body. “Whatever I need that it would be appropriate for me to have tonight,” he added, sounding frustrated. He grabbed his iPad from the end table, and settled into read.
“What are you reading?” I asked curiously.
“Espionage thriller.”
“Ah, I thought you wanted to read the rest of my…”
“I do, want to read them, but I couldn't handle that tonight with you here and half naked. I might forget my rules about women who have been drinking to excess. Now go get some sleep, because you’re getting me hard again, and if I practice any more self-love tonight, I might get carpel tunnel.”
“You mean you were…” I must have looked surprised.
“What did you think, I was just really hygienic?”
“I thought maybe you were taking cold showers,” I admitted.
“Hell, no. I don’t waste God’s gifts.”

4--Entertaining--Stars!!!

This was a fun addition to the Lawyers in Love series. Legal Briefs features Adam and Lily who we met in the previous books. There is character cross-over but this one can be read as a standalone.

I love the humor and the banter amongst the characters. It's one of my favorite things about this series.

Lily and Adam have a love-hate relationship. They grew up together. Picked on each other. Taunted each other. Tormented each other.

Both they've both harbored an attraction to each other. Now they are all grown-up and share a tight knit group of friends. Over the last few months, things have started to change between Adam and Lily. That love/hate relationship leaning a bit more on the love side.

"You don’t battle somebody for twenty-three years and then trust them with your heart overnight."

Lily is hesitant about Adam's advances after all they've been through as kids. Not to mention, Lily has a complex from her poor relationship with her parents. But they both agree to give dating a shot.

In addition, there's a bit of mystery and intrigue in the background of the storyline. Similar to the other books in the series. It's a little OTT and unrealistic but it's fun and comedic watching it all play out.

There were a couple of times some of the humor made me roll my eyes but I did LMAO quite a bit.

The diaper changing scene....

I was afraid Lily was going to get on my nerves in the beginning but she grew on me.

I liked that Lily was a part-time erotic romance author, that added a fun element.

This was a quick read. I pretty much read it straight through and was entertained the whole time.

"Adam was the only person I had ever known who made me feel so much. He filled me up inside in more ways than one."

Like the other two books in the series this one was smoking hot so, Nadine...

I'm really hoping Mark gets a book....he's one of my favorite characters!

Adam and Lily have had a love-hate relationship since they were young. Now that their friends have tied the knot, they agreed to give in to their attraction and start dating.

The couple's bickering and falling in love was cute and fun to read. There was good homour and banter that compared to book 1&2 wasnt too OTT. Although the drama at the end was a bit much. Adam was such a *ahem* romantic. I love his crude one liners.

I was missing the funny silly court cases. But the sex was still hot, it was funny and light with a bit of suspense with the myserious neighbours. Enjoyable read!

When I sit down to read, I like to escape into a happy little bubble; this book was that perfect little fantasy bubble. I absolutely loved it. It has just the right balance of wit, steam, hotness and belly tingling romance mixed with a little light suspense, just to keep things interesting.

This is the third in the Lawyers in Love series, although this could be read as a standalone, I'd really recommend reading the others first just to get the whole back story and well, because they're really good too.

This one though, was my favourite to date. We meet Adam and Lily in the first two books. They've known one another from childhood and have spent the intervening years winding one another up and irritating the other at every opportunity. In The Home Court Advantage though, there was definitely a little something between them that neither of them wanted to acknowledge. The scorching hot chemistry and searing looks they shared was only heading one way. The perfect set up.

The sex scenes are really hot in this and even though the story unfolds over a relatively short time, the love story wasn't rushed - it felt real. *sighs*

What really gives this story its edge though is the warmth and humour that runs through it. The cast of characters are lawyers so they're smart, sassy, opinionated and damned funny. They're also witty - I laughed out loud so many times reading this. In the earlier books in the series I felt the slapstick got a little crazy towards the end and, while I enjoyed the scenes, they didn't feel quite real to me. Happily, I felt the suspense plot in this story was more plausible and the characters responses were more realistic.

I absolutely loved this one. I can't wait to read more in this series. Highly recommended.

In a way, I am probably not the right audience for this book, so I apologize in advance to anyone who reads this review.

I'm not a fan of first person narratives, nor am I an avid reader of contemporary romance (I read mostly historicals). That said, maybe it's no surprise I did not like the way diction was thrown around in this book? It's just...extremely casual and flippant, for lack of better terms. I did not really see much of a well-paced emotional attachment in accompaniment to the characters' sexual attraction, and even that attraction was some unnecessary frustration - for the hero, Adam, especially - because their families are Jewish and when you're caught together with a woman whom your family has known for a long time, rumors start to circulate and you're about as good as getting married. But then, there's thar pesky attraction to deal with, and the issue of whether they want to take their relationship to the next level, and...suspenseful plot elements in the way of a villain.

Now, is this nothing you've read before? Not at all. This is an attempt to revamp a childhood-antagonists-to-lovers trope by putting it in a legal setting, yet I did not come away feeling immersed in that world, like with Julie James's FBI/U.S. Attorneys series. In fact, these characters are so casual and potentially juvenile that their professionalism as top notch lawyers were barely expressed, let along explored in depth for greater complexity.

I was not impressed by this novel, it's characters, or plot. But again, it may be that I'm so used to reading romance novels set in a time in which the characters had to find means of expressing themselves within a set of heavily confined rules, norms, language and behavior which could easily ruin their lives. The language in those novels are, as well, filled with multiple meanings; it's nuanced expressions readily apparent to those appreciate of literary language. So it may be that I dislike all the simple language in this book, it's coarse language that would seem, in my opinion, to be far below those spoken by professional lawyers.

But then, I could just be asking too much of this contemporary romance to be up to my standards for it. Regardless, this is just my take and I will be going back to my adored niche hereafter.

This book is hotttt!

This book deserves way more than 5 stars! I honestly think the author should be a stand up comedian and a writer. The banter between Adam and Lily had me laughing so much I was crying. Not only does it have it's funny parts but Legal Briefs has romance and a little bit of mystery added in. I had the pleasure in being a beta reader for the first two books in this series and I absolutely loved them but I think this book has to be hands down my favorite of the series. I have said this before in my reviews of the other books in the series but Silber creates such "real" characters that I feel as if these characters are my friends and not just characters in a book. I also liked that there wasn't a bunch of drama between the characters. So many books are like that now days and it's great to read a book that's not like that.

Thank you N.M. Silber for writing another great book, I can't wait for my friends to read Legal Briefs.

NADA... I loved N.M. after the first two books in this series but with this third one she became a favorite... you just can't go wrong with a Silber book as far as I'm concerned if you are looking for something really easy to read that will make you smile, make you laugh out loud multiple times, and give you shivers in those hot moments. This lady can throw down on some sexy scenes now....she is talented. I just cannot recommend this series enough.. its so fun, its so easy , its just fabulous!

****4 Wacky and Sexy Stars****

I can't get enough of this crazy lawyers, I laugh so hard every time I remember I funny scene of the book. Great read; equal parts funny, sexy and entertaining. N.M Silber has become one of my go- to authors whenever I'm in the mood for romantic comedy, Lawyers in Love is a MUST READ Series...

Lily and Adam have known each other since childhood, they started fighting in pre-school and the battle of the sexes has continued into adulthood. They are both lawyers but Lily doesn't practice and is a librarian for the Courthouse and Adam is a State Attorney, they run in the same circle of friends and since last summer when they almost kissed the sexual tension is unbearable between them. Every time they see each other neither can't decide wether to make out or kill one another.

Their friends have caught on to their love/hate relationship and are trying to get them together. Finally Adam gets the courage to ask Lily out on a date and she accepts, but is afraid of Adam's player reputation to shine through and break her heart, so she's very guarded. Lily's low income has her living in a very dangerous part of town and mistakenly she gets tangled with a big mafia case that is being tried in court; just her luck that the key witness lives in her building and her and her friends will try to solve the mystery of who this person is.
She's a law librarian by day and a romance writer by night, her latest novel was inspired by the lust she feels for Adam, and as he learns her sexy hidden persona and the fact that she might be in danger, he takes charge of his feelings for her and little by little, these two will found themselves falling deeper for each other.

 photo imagejpg1_zps0702f39c.jpg

This novel has it all; mystery, romance and wit and I loved every second of it, which is why I couldn't rate it five stars, it was TOO SHORT! I was left desperate for more and if I'm being honest it felt a bit rushed in the end. I recommend this series to absolutely everyone who's looking for a good time, looking for romance and great writing. I really hope this author continues writing about this awesome characters.

Hilarious, hot, romantic, and witty, N.M. Silber hit it out of the park with this one. As is her signature style, there's even a little mystery thrown in, as well a delightful nod or two to classic comedies of the past.

Adam Roth has been Lily's Adler's nemesis since preschool. However, when their close friends marry and they are thrown together more often, they discover a powerful physical attraction that has been hiding beneath the surface. This relationship is first explored in the second book in the series, The Home Court Advantage. While you don't need to read the first two books to understand or enjoy this one, doing so will just make it even better.

When the two childhood enemies begin to acknowledge that there may be more than a recently developed physical attraction between them, they decide to attempt dating. Unfortunately, all does not go smoothly on their first date, and Lily becomes a witness to a possible crime. From there various humorous situations evolve as the couple tries to remain safe and sane while sharing space twenty-four hours per day.

While there are not as many zany courtroom scenes in this installment, there is at least one appearance of grumpy Judge Channing, who has lost none of his charm. Lily also has some eccentric neighbors, including one of her friend, Gabrielle's, former clients. The entire gang from the first two books appears in this one and the ending is wonderfully entertaining.

Legal Briefs is filled to the brim with witty banter and steamy hot sex scenes that are at times humorous, and at times frankly erotic. It also has one of the best "I love you" scenes I have read in a very long time. While I adored the first two books, it's clear that this one is a step up. N.M. Silber's writing is getting better and better, and these two characters are well-developed and very relatable. There's conflict without angst, something I for one, very much appreciate. I also appreciate how much love and respect this couple demonstrates for one another, even while maintaining plenty of tension and sizzle.

Without a doubt, this is a must read, and will likely be considered one of the best Romantic Comedies of 2014.

I was given an advance copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

I loved the first two books in this series but this one took it to a whole new level. Not only was it funny and hot, it was also poignant at times. I was completely emotionally wrapped up in Adam and Lily's romance. I didn't want this book to end and I hope the author writes more of this couple.

Adam and Lily have been arguing since they were kids, but over time they discover that it may have been because were attracted to each other and afraid of rejection. They have to overcome that hurdle and trust each other with their hearts. Don't think that this is an angst filled read though. It's not. This book is hilarious and very sexy. The emotional component just makes it feel real and makes you care about the characters.

I was given an ARC for an honest review and I honestly loved it.

Beta Reader.... Reading by the Book Review

If you truly enjoyed Braden and Gabi and you will fall hea over heals for Lily and Adam. I did not think I could fall in love with a character anymore but Adam stole my heart with his desire, humor, jealousy, and insecurities.

He wore his heart on his sleeve and displayed his cockiness while claiming and protect the woman he loved since licking her fruit roll-up (at 4 yrs old). Their story had me laughing, aroused, and in tears from beginning to end.

N.M. Silber out did herself because behind the smiles is humor were a broken girl who felt alone and unloved and she ended being loved, more confident, and part of what she always wanted.

Thank you for the opportunity.

GRAB AN INHALER & PUT ON A DEPENDS BECAUSE THIS BOOK IS LAUGH OUT LOUD FUNNY!

This might easily be my favorite Romantic Comedy...EVER...with Adam and Lily being one of my favorite couples.

There are romantic comedies, and then there are ROMANTIC COMEDIES. Not every author does them right. Well, look no further because N.M. Silber does it PERFECTLY. This book is the epitome of all things that are good in life...LOVE AND LAUGHTER...and is hands down one of the funniest books I have ever read. I literally felt like I was passing out from laughing so hard.

So, the crew is back. The same cast of crazy lovable characters from The Law of Attraction and The Home Court Advantage are back and the dynamic between the entire crew is better than ever. The consistency that this author is able to achieve in keeping true to each characters personality is spot on, and the hijinks and shenanigans are hysterical. The conversations flow, the banter believable and the comedy is natural. There is nothing forced here...just 100% natural comedic genius.

Just like the realistic and seamless dynamic in the first two books between Gabrielle and Braden, this one between Lily and Adam is a relationship the likes you've never seen before. It is funny, sexy, mysterious, engaging, reflective and heartwarming.

Ms. Silber knows love...she knows life and she knows comedy. Her ability to write a book that is not only believable but flows like an unclogged drain is what makes this series, and this book, an ultimate success. The banter is funny, the interactions believable and the love endearing. Her words will have you thinking about your own friends and relatives and realizing that you can almost hear yourself having these very conversations.

This entire series is fun, smart and witty. By the time I was done, I was wanting to call up my own friends and schedule a night out. You cannot help but relate to at least one of the characters, nor can you walk away without realizing that at least one of the friendships mimics one of your own.

I have read many other books, some popular, that are listed as a Romantic Comedy, and nothing comes close to the brilliance that is Ms. Silber. You can get TANGLED and TWISTED, read about a guy who gets loud on the other side of a wall, or you can read a real romantic comedy that is so perfectly sculpted you'll almost sit in utter disbelief that it took you so long to join the club.

This is a 3.5, but I'm rounding up because it had some pretty amazing scenes. I do love ridiculous, evidently over the top humor.
"Want one?" he offered.

"Sure, thanks," I replied. He proceeded to knock exactly one tic tac into his palm and hand it to me. "Are you sure you can spare this?" I asked solemnly.

"How many did you want?"

"Well, more than one. Who gives somebody one tic tac? Would it kill to be a little more generous? Some psychologist somewhere probably has some theory about one tic tac givers and fear of commitment."

"Fear of commitment, my ass. You should be committed, you loon. If you were intended to have more than one tic tac, they would have just made tic tacs bigger. This is regulation sized tic tac, and it should be more than enough to satisfy your breath freshening needs," he said, sounding affronted.

"A tic tac is not merely a breath freshener, it is a candy," I pointed out, voice rising in anger. Who was he calling a loon? "And they make them small on purpose, so you'll think you're getting more, and so you'll run out faster when someone asks for one, and you will give them a few!"

"Why would someone ask for A tic tac when they really wanted several tic tacs? What does that say about their psychology?! Why not be honest from the get-go about what you want?!" he shouted back at me.

"I didn't ask for one! You offered me one, God damn it!"

"And as for your other points, it is primarily a breath freshener, and maybe you should alert the media about your great tic tac size conspiracy!"

Lily and Adam's fights are the best of the book. I might have cried laughter tears.

I received a copy of Legal Briefs for a fair and honest opinion...This is book 3 in the Lawyers in Love series, but can be read as a standalone with no problems whatsoever!
and I would honestly like to know how I've never come across this series yet. This is book 3, that means I've missed books 1 and 2 and god knows how many laughs!
Legal Briefs has it all...great writing, everything moves so smoothly. Super characters, full of life, vitality, sarcasm and double entendres. It was in a word, FABULOUS!!!! and I can't stress that enough.
Adam is so awesome. With his sarcastic witty personality, and those classic good looks.
Lily, a little unsure of herself and what she wants to be when she "grows up". Together they make for a fun, enjoyable couple that reminds me quite a bit of my husband and myself (minus all the money and murdering capers)
This story has it all, love, lust, murder and plenty of outrageous laughter. I was literally laughing out loud while reading. As soon as I finished this one, I had to go 1click the previous 2 books in the Lawyers in Love Series...

I was lucky enough to be a beta reader for this one and finally finished!!

I wish I worked in a law firm/environment like any of the characters in the Legal Briefs series, sadly I do not. It’s all business over here, whomp whoooomp. I LOVE this author. I have expressed this before, but I really do, no smoke ass blowing here, she’s fantastic. Maybe it’s what she’s done professionally all her life, but she is an excellent writer and oh so funny! When I’m reading her books, I feel like I’m talking to my girlfriends and we’re involved with whatever shenanigans this gang is up to.

Adam and Lily are the perfect kind of book couple for me, I love fighters turned lovers. If you read the first two books in this series (And I seriously suggest you do. Seriously. If you are reading this review before reading those, please read those first!), you will read more of the banter between these two and really get a feel for their history.

I love that Adam and Lily’s story isn’t rushed, it unfolds over a period of time that makes sense, especially given their history. Yeah, they could have hopped right into bed and the author could have had them proclaim their love for each other after years of knowing one another, but she didn’t and I am grateful for that. I read a lot, pretty much a book every other day, so I’ve seen about every romantic storyline and plot that I could imagine. To me, there is nothing worse than being introduced to a couple who fall into bed and are suddenly saying I love you one day into the relationship, that just isn’t realistic, no matter how long you’ve known each other. They were fighters turned friends turned lovers. There is angst, but just enough.

I love this group of friends, aside from the super hot sexy time scenes, there is nothing better than when they are all together getting into some crazy shit. There is a backstory of mystery, but it definitely takes backseat to Adam and Lily’s story.

What I love more than anything about Silber’s books is her ability to have me smiling the whole time without me even realizing it. I read books like this to temporarily live in another world, to relax after I’ve gotten off work, completed my mom duties and put a sassy little two-year-old to bed. I want, no, need the books I read to give me something really good. I need them to pull me out of a crappy day, turn my brain on to something else for awhile or just make me smile because who doesn’t love smiling?!

I absolutely loved Legal Briefs. The main characters, Adam and Lily, were first introduced to us in The Law of Attraction and The Home Court Advantage, respectively. You can easily read this book without having read the first two, but I definitely recommend the whole series because it's that great. The other characters we meet in the first two books are also in Legal Briefs.

Adam's a prosecutor and a player and Lily's a law librarian by day and an author of thrillers by night. But let's not forget Lilah Alden, Lily's pen name, for her erotic romances! They've fought with each other since preschool. But what exactly were they fighting? It's more than fruit roll-ups and glitter! You'll see!

Their story had me laughing, but it was also heat, and it was sweetness. They're already fighting an attraction that sparked a few months before, well maybe not so much fighting as trying to find ways to deal with it. From the beginning we know that the want is there for both of them.

I love that we don't have to wait half the book for the relationship to start. They are crazy and fun, and it comes across to the reader. I laughed out loud more than once. The story flows well, and I absolutely love that there isn't needless drama thrown it at the end where we are left wondering will they or won't they. Doesn't life have enough of that already? The humor is there throughout the whole story. There's a mystery weaving throughout, and the discovery is pretty fun too. A little Murder by Death/Clue thrown in!

I highly recommend it to anyone who likes to laugh, likes some racy romance, and/or enjoys a mystery. The cast of characters are not to be missed. Cannot wait for the follow-up stories and serial to come!

I truly enjoyed the story of Adam and Lily. They are both witty, sarcastic and lovable. They have been pretty much enemies since they were 4 years old and the tumultuous chemistry has lasted into their 20's. They had been thrust into each other's lives again thru their mutual friends. And, neither are a bit to happy about it, on the exterior. Things start to change after an encounter in the summer Book 2). They now have to figure out about these new feeling that are brewing. This book explores the relationship that in the past 20 years has had more downs than ups. Besides a possible budding romance, there is a crime boss' trial that brings in an ex boyfriend from college.
There are truly some laugh out loud moments, as with any of N.M. Sillber's book. It is a feel good story with good friends, witty repartee, some hot romance, a little intrigue and good for the whole family ( well not the WHOLE family, mostly just all the smut reading family). This book is on par with the first two on the series. I can not wait for more. It is hard to find many books that are funny with a side of sex and suspense.
This book was a complementary book for an honest review. I hope you enjoy as much as I did.

This was a copy gifted to me by the author for an honest review.
I accidentally stumbled over N.M. Silber's Lawyer's in Love books right after her second book was released and fell immediately in love. I went back, read the first one after I had already read the second one, and now I've finished the third one.
Legal Briefs is about Lily and Adam, 2 lawyers who have known each other and snarked at each other all of their lives. It talks about the things they used to do to each other as kids growing up, interspersed with the relationship they have now and how it grows into love.
You MUST READ this book. It is HILARIOUS! It is fast-paced. It is all-consuming. It is the type of book you do not want to put down once you start reading it. Oh, and, it is SUPER HAWT!!!!!
You will not be sorry you picked up this book!
It is part 3 of an ongoing series, but it can be read as a stand alone easily.
Don't read this book in public unless you don't mind people thinking you're crazy when you spontaneously burst out laughing while snorting your drink through your nose. It's that kind of book!

Can't believe I forgot to rate this :O

Having not read anything before my this author, I got a really nice surprise. I really loved both Lily and Adam. I really enjoyed their witty banter, bickering, sweet and funny moments.

I really do love enemies to lovers trope or haters to lovers. They had grown up together and made each other's life very difficult which was also fun to read about. Lily's neighbors and the whole mystery thought not very believable in 'real' life was hilarious to read, the book had the whole comedy romance thing going and I liked that. The book is quite low on angst and drama which I also liked (cause god knows sometimes the drama can to much) but I was entertained throughout. The book can be read as a standalone since I had not read the earlier books in the series but this did not affect my enjoyment.

I absolutely loved this book. Adam and Lily are wonderful!

The book starts with Lily’s prospective of the night in the woods and the almost kiss between her and Adam.

Fast forward six months

Adam and Lily run into each other a club where Adam has decided to take Lily home. Lily doesn't live in the best neighborhood and her neighbors are rather shady. (Those neighbors were pretty awesome).

Eventually, Lily decides to go on a date with Adam and there Lily sees something she shouldn't. Now there are people after her and Adam has decided that in order to keep Lily safe they move in together. Can they get along long enough before they kill each other? You have to read the book to see.

The dialogue between Lily and Adam is GREAT and so is their chemistry. This book had me in tears I was laughing so hard.

I love N.M. Silber writing style and her humor. This book deserves 5+ stars. I cannot wait for the next in the series.

It is so easy to fall into love with every character that N.M. Silber writes and Legal Briefs is no different. The story of Adam and Lily, childhood nemesis turned bickering adults, turned into a hilarious couple. Adam and Lily share great chemistry together and you instantly want to become one of their best friends. I hope they aren't surprised when I show up on their doorstep with a bottle of wine and friend adoption papers. One of my utmost favorite things about Silber's writing is her cast of characters. She does a great job with her main characters, but she also gets you invested in secondary and even third string characters. Silber's wit in her writing compares to that of Emma Chase and Alice Clayton and there were times during the book I was laughing out loud and my husband had to make sure I was okay. So sit back, relax and pray that you too, get adopted by Adam and Lily.

I loved this book. I was lucky to be a beta-reader for Legal Briefs. I have enjoyed every book by N.M. Silber. This book is about Adam and Lily and they are introduced in Silber's first two books. If you enjoyed Law of Attraction and The Home Court Advantage you will definitely love Legal Briefs. Adam and Lily have known each other since they were four and and fought every since. They have so much chemistry together and belong with each other. I enjoyed reading about them getting together and how they challenge each other on a daily basis. I laughed out loud throughout the entire book. This book is funny and sexy. If you enjoy a HOT fun read, you will need to read this one you won't be disappointed. I am looking forward to more books by N.M. Silber.

Thanks for the opportunity!!!

For my own taste this book had a bit of a slow start, once the romance really kicked in between Adam and Lilly the story then gathered pace, it's a light sexy romance, with quick, witty banter between the two main characters, the sex is steamy and well written and it reminded me of the "Knitting in the City" book series, so readers who enjoy those books will also enjoy this one, the books in the series can be read as stand alone, but those who have read other books in the series and are familiar with N.M Silber's books won't be disappointed in this one.

This was a quick read, funny and surprisingly, this book kept me in suspense up to the end.

What’s that old saying? -- “There’s a fine line between love and hate.” ;P
And yeah, even though they’re so-called enemies since preschool, but this love-hate relationship leaning a bit more on the love side.

Credit to their friends that trying to get them together. Bravo! That was friends for, right? Hahaha... and, finally this couple realised the attraction/chemistry between them and start dating. Yay!

4.5 Stars!

It's a really funny and sexy book, although I thought this one was not as good as the first two books, it was worth reading and I highly recommend.

I'm looking forward for the next one :)

ARC RECEIVED FOR AN HONEST REVIEW

I completely adore the Lawyers In Love series, have from the minute I picked up the first book, The Law of Attraction.

And Legal Briefs is another great chapter in this series. The characters do cross over from the first 2 books, but you could read this as a standalone. But why would you want to do that and miss all the hi jinx and hilarity of the first two books?

Lily Adler is a trained lawyer, but works as a law librarian by day, sexy romance writer by night. Adam Roth is an assistant District Attorney.

They have known each other since they were in nappies, and they have been butting heads for just as long - since the "glitter" and the "fruit roll up" incidents . But they say it is a very fine line between love and hate, and this pair have been toeing that line for ooooh about 20 years!!

I have been impatiently waiting for Lily and Adam's story since they became a bigger part of the series in book 2.

I can't get enough of their banter. It is smart, it is sassy, sometimes I could not help but snort-laugh as I read. There is one particular discussion about tic tacs that just had me in tears of laughter!!

There is an undercurrent to all of their interactions, and you could cut the sexual tension with a butter knife!

I love love love the rest of their group of friends (who we have all met previously). And I love that all of their friends know how Lily and Adam feel about each other and are just waiting for them to get their act together.

And when they get together, damn do things steam up!! Hot Hot Hot!!! And some of the sexy talk is just hilarious

"Adam! God damn it! Will you f&^k me already?!"
"Very nice Ms. Romance Novelist." He laughed as he stood up.
"Fine. Will you thrust your turgid manroot into my dewy petals?"

I love that we get more of the "Scooby Gang" as I have come to know them. Gab and Braden, Jess and Cam, Bruce, Mark. These are the kind of friends we all need (and I want to be part of the gang!!) They are each others fiercest supporters, but they are also the ones who will give each other the most grief (in that way you can only be with your closest friends).

Then we have the residents in Lily's apartment building. What a motley crew that lot are, all with their bizarre perks that keep us intrigued as well as amused. And don't get me started on Adam's mother and older sisters! These ladies are relentless!!!

Ms Silber has created a series that just keeps getting better and better. As we get more involved with these lawyer's lives, I just want to learn more and more. There is plenty of love and laughs, and I can't wait for the next book (and the novellas in between!)

This was a fun, light, sexy, fast-paced, and sometimes very funny (the diaper changing part was hilarious). It was told from heroine’s pov but allowed me to get the hero due to the very frequent (and original) H/h dialog. The love scenes were passionate and emotional, and their family and friends dynamics were smoothly integrated in the plot. I simply love the way this author writes.
