I'm starting this week with Cast Off by K. C. Burn

Stacey (staceyissassy) I started Spotless and I'm really enjoying it so far. Very funny and quirky :-) ♥

I'm trying to get theough some of the bazillion books on my Kindle so i wont feel guilty for buying new ones...so I just finished Roommates by Erin Leigh. It's a pretty cute new adult about a manwhore hockey player and an only child who finally got up the nerve to move out of her parents house for her first real job. Their friends set them up by making each think the other is the opposite sex--so she thinks her roomie will be a girl and he thinks his will be a guy. Of course the find out when they move in and its awkward. Nothing particularly earth shattering as NA goes. There was a little too much of Brady in action with other women on the page before they became a couple for my taste. But the writing wasn't bad and it had some cute moments. Just didn't stand out from the crowd for me.

I think I remember hearing about that one. His character didn't really appeal to me, so I decided to pass.

Yeah, he was definitely a problem for me, Stacey. I really wish the author had just let that stuff happen off the page at least. It would still be a problem but not nearly as big of one.

Cheri, I really loved Erin Nicholas's Bradford series but I haven't read her in a while. You'll have to let us know what you think.

Leigh-Ayn | 1214 comments Cheers for the heads up about Spotless, Stacey! I'm a fan of Murder, mayhem and laughs but haven't found any new authors for a while!
I'm reading The Rogue not taken and Scandal wears Satin !! Enjoying both!!

Exactly Manda. She would have lost a lot of readers but doing what she did. The only other book I've read where that happens, you weren't "in the room" with them, but you knew what was going on, was Wallbanger. I got over it and ended up really enjoying it.

Totally agree about Wallbanger, Stacey! That one really worked for me for that reason. I still liked Roommates but it lost points with me for that reason.

Yep, I can understand that :-)

message 12: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nikanne) | 222 comments I am reading Scandalous Seasons Vol 1 -3 by Christi Caldwell. Currently I'm re-reading Forever Betrothed, Never the Bride. It had been so long since I read it I needed a refresher before diving into book 2, Never Courted, Suddenly Wed. Emmaline is a refreshing heroine going for what she wants. I find her quite entertaining!

message 14: by Theresa (new)

Theresa Romain | 420 comments I'm reading Kate Noble's The Lie and the Lady. The heroine is really unusual, in a way I'm enjoying.

Hello guys. One of my resolutions this year, reading-wise, is to interact more with you and the other people in the goodreads groups I'm part of :)
I started this week with Hollywood Dirt by Alessandra Torre and continued it with benge-reading other books from her backlist: Blindfolded Innocence, Masked Innocence, The Diary of Brad De Luca, End of the Innocence(I'm starting it now). After these I'll read What You Need
