Thanks for pointing me to the chat. I was gone ALL day on my birthday and long story short, my car wouldn't start before work so my husband gave it a jump. He came around 12:30 to see if it would start and it did. But then after school it wouldn't start again. I took the chance and drove to B&N where I was meeting Heather and others for Starbucks coffee and to browse books (H's and my favorite pastime with each other). Then right after that I met my granddaughter Julianna for dinner. So I barely read and didn't have time for GR.

Then Thursday my husband was off and we spent time together. Can 't remember Friday but yesterday I was on the road (listened to Blood Promise) from 8-5:30.

So thank you again for telling me to go look! :o) I loved your little flashing flowers and hearts, etc. :o)

I'm glad it sounds like your car issues got sorted and you are feeling better (at least I hope so!) I'm glad your birthday sounds like it wasn't bad either. I hope you got some good books!

Oh my goodness, this is awfully sad!

Joy (view spoiler)[has been through a horrendous childhood. To know that this truly happens in real children's lives breaks my heart! (hide spoiler)]

Auntie (view spoiler)[is really kind and patient and seems to be intuitive. (hide spoiler)]

Uncle (view spoiler)[also appears to be very kind and I don't think he's the type to hurt her. What is really AWFUL is how many predators love having access to an already harmed/abused child, like her mother's boyfriends. Ugh... (hide spoiler)]

Trent (view spoiler)[I'm not sure about him for some reason. I hope he's a good guy. (hide spoiler)]

Sorry it took me SO long to finish this one and it was such a quick read. LOL

Justin (view spoiler)[was a godsend! I'm glad that she found such an unbelievable boy who can hopefully be what she needs to get her in the swing of good boyfriend/girlfriend relationships. (hide spoiler)]

Trent (view spoiler)[finally...I'm glad he was a better person than I thought. At one point I was thinking he wasn't much like his dad. I'm glad he was able to finally understand and accept her as his "sister." I was worried about the party too! Glad nothing major happened. (hide spoiler)]

Court (view spoiler)[ didn't seem too bad for her, but I can only imagine what it would be like to have to relive something like she went through in a courtroom, especially under cross-examination. I'm glad her mother evidently didn't get her back! (hide spoiler)]
