A young adult book series about a group of teenagers. They are trying to save money for a classmate with cancer, however he dies in a car crash and that solidified their friendship so they continue to do good things. At least 10 books. They tell the stories from each of their different perspectives. And the trouble going on in their own lives. There was a cheerleader, a football player. A nerdy type. A Christian couple type. A shy anorexic girl. Please help!

"Clearwater Crossing" series fits almost perfectly, except it was published in 1998.
