Alex' 61 books and 30 Manga in 2016 Reading Challenge

For 2016 I would like to accomplish a minimum amount of reading of 60 books and 30 Manga. Since I was able to complete my 2015 challenge of 40 books and 40 manga rather quickly, I set myself a higher book count. However since the updated challenge of 55 books and Manga proved to be too difficult in the Manga department, I will only aim for 30 Manga this year. In addition to it being too many Manga I would have had to read, I also faced the dilema that for a lot of the series I follow currently only 2 volumes are published per year, so I first need to find new series I like. Thus the smaller amount of Manga compared to last year.

Hi Cassandra, I definitely recommend Furiously Happy: A Funny Book About Horrible Things for those interested in reading about mental illness. Storm Front is a 5 star book and a rec when you are into crime-fantasy and like some sarcasm and Etiquette & Espionage is perfect for fans of steampunk novels. :)
Have you come across anything you'd recommend so far? ;)

Did you like Soppy Alex? I heard about it on youtube, but haven't read it.

Good to know! I've been meaning to read Furiously Happy for quite a while, and I just added Storm Front to my to read list.

By far the best book I've read this year is The Way of Kings. It's high fantasy and quite long, but very compelling and readable.

Hi Emily, Soppy is really cute and a very accurate depiction of a relationship - imo. However at times I found myself wishing for a more elaborate style of drawing. All in all it was a fun, cute, quick read and I enjoyed it. :)
