Silver Threads (Memory House, #5) by Bette Lee Crosby Silver Threads . By Bette Lee Crosby for a pre-review on Kindle. The fifth book in the Memory House series and I was privileged to do a pre-review for it. This book was so amazing. How a perfect family is torn apart by a robbery gone bad. How this poor father and daughter have to heal and somehow get back to some sort of normalcy and move on. And how a man in anger wants revenge against this poor family. The wonderful idea of the Keeper of the Scales, sort of a God-like person was brilliant. This story was so full of emotion, I felt like laughing, crying and yelling out loud at times. It pulls us all together with all of the other amazing characters with Memory House. It's a real heart tugger and I am continually amazed on how Bette can grab at our hearts and souls. This is an amazing story that could be read at any age by anyone. Bravo!!!! Wish I could give it more than 5 star rating.

The Honeymoon Cottage (Pajaro Bay, #1) by Barbara Cool Lee The Honeymoon Cottage book 1 of the Pajaro Bay series by Barbara Cool Lee just started on Kindle. Finished 09/04/16. 5 stars
A very dynamic, mysterious and suspenseful book. Camilla is hiding from her ex-fiance who embezzled money from her business and her, left her in trouble with the law and left her with his son Oliver and this house in Pajaro Bay. All she wants to do is fix it up and move to a bib city where no one knows her and her past. Sheriff captain Ryan Knight is trying to help her and Oliver and discovers she and Oliver are in danger by a serial killer. Is it her ex or someone else? The characters relationships came together slowly, which I really liked. It kept you thinking and on your seat. The love that grows in these characters is slow and beautiful. I like trying to figure out the "who dunnit" but this one I couldn't guess. Great book!!

I am neeerrrvvvous about it because I did not like the second one, but I loved the first! , Jonetta , you tipped the scales with what you said before so I'm giving it a shot and hoping I'm not making a mistake, Not that I would blame you lol.

I finished The Weekenders by Mary Kay Andrews early this morning and I was so relieved to be done with it. There were so many things about this book that got on my nerves! Mainly the main female character and her daughter drove me bonkers! I rated this book two stars. What made it ok was that I really enjoyed a couple of the secondary characters. Overall though, this book and its self-entitled, horrible characters made me insane!

Now I'm reading Susan Mallery's Daughters of the Bride by Susan Mallery . Now THIS is a really good book so far! Thank goodness because after two disappointing books I'm ready for a good one!

Have a great weekend everyone!

The Secrets of Rosa Lee by Jodi Thomas The Secrets of Rosa Lee by Jodi Thomas. Just finished it paperback.
Rosa Lee Altman's home is empty and dilapidated. Professor Sidney Dickerson and a group of community members have to make a decision for the Mayor of whether to sell the home and property to the highest oil company bidder or try to fix it up and keep it as a part of the communities history. They all learn that there are secrets regarding this old house. There is someone who wants this house torn down no matter what and is leaving frightening messages and some of the committee members are getting hurt. This is a great story of history, a ghostly love and passion for the house, mystery, suspense and romance. A fun, fun read. 5 stars

The Gal Who Took the West Hearts of Wyoming by Myrna Temte The Gal Who Took the West: Hearts of Wyoming by Myrna Temte. Just finished in paperback
From the Hearts of Wyoming series. Emma is in town with a movie company as a stunt person. She is sassy, tough, sexy and a someone that does not want to talk about herself. Cal McBride comes from a large family, lives in a small town, owns a bar and is also the Mayor. After breaking up with his fiance', he has his sights set on Emma. This only leads to trouble and romance. It was a quick read and I love reading about Wyoming. I found the dialogue "sappy" and a bit to over the top. It would be a fun beach read. 3 stars

Desert Fire by Marcia Lynn McClure Desert Fire by Marcia Lynn McClure. Just started in Kindle. Finished 09/20/16.
A young woman who has amnesia is found out in the desert by a handsome, rugged cowboy. He takes her back to the family home where his mother and other brothers reside. She has flashbacks of her past that haunt her but she just can't put it all together. They are not happy memories. She knows she is safe in this home and in Jackson's arms. Jackson can be a flirt, but holds back when it comes to relationships. There are men who are after the woman and she feels she is a burden and putting her new-found family in peril. This was a very romantic, suspenseful and fast read. The characters were very well defined. It's a story of family, loyalty, romance and love. A great book! 5 stars

[bookcov/er:Time Is a River|2386839] Time Is a River by Mary Alice Monroe. Just started in paperback. Finished 09/30/16. 4 stars
I was given this book to read by a friend. the story of Mia Landan who is still recovering from breast cancer and now has found her husband in bed with another women at their home. She runs to a small cabin and befriends a fly-fishing instructor, Belle Carson. The cabin belongs in Belle's family and was her grandmothers. Belle has no love for her distant family. Her grandmother was accused of murdering her lover in the 1920's. This becomes Mia's sanctuary and Mia finds Kate's diaries and finds herself in an investigation of her own on what really happened with Kate and the death of Mr. DeLancey. Mia has made new friends with the community, and a very close relationship with Stuart MacDougal. This is a story of true heroism, courage, love and forgiveness. I gave it 4 stars as I did not care for the ending and felt like I was left hanging and somehow betrayed. It seemed unfinished to me. But all in all, a wonderful book.

I know lol, Sherriyln Kenyon makes it that way! It's pretty genius really. All the books are great on their own but it's the promise of ash, ash, and more ash that keeps people pushing faster and faster to get to him lol. I felt bad even skipping that one dream Hunter lol, but I don't think it will be too bad. I do want to read Xyphers book though so if I go back and read that I'll only have missed two. I'll have to see how I feel after reading ash to see how fast or if I'll want to keep going right away with the next part of the series. I may have to take a good long break in between. I'm interested in strykers story even though I don't like him lol, but I still don't know much about styxx yet for the urge haha, so taking a break will probably be a good thing before I get to transfixed on him too! It's been a crazy tormenting ride to say the least!
