SOLVED. book about 4 girls going into a magic realm? [s]

So here's what I remember- sorry if it's wrong, I read it a few years ago, possibly 2010-2012

It's a chapter book written for preteens, I'm not sure if it was a series or just one book

It's about 4 girls (or at least, a group of girls) and it's summer time I think, and the beginning I don't remember much, but the important part is that they place some coin or key or object on this table in a treehouse and they're all joined up and they are transported to a magic realm/world which needs saving, and they end up saving it. I'm sorry if this is vague, I don't really remember much but I really want to find this book again

Hi Kristina, thanks but it's not that series, I've read A Great and Terrible Beauty. I realize now it does has a similar plot though.

This series distinctly has the girls on a table and I think they put together their objects to go to the magic world. The one I'm looking for is more for girls age 10 to 12 I think.

This sounds kind of like it, I've read some plot summaries, but can I ask if they end up saving Avalon in the first book or does the mission to save Avalon last throughout the the entire series?

Angi, you can bump your thread every month or so to move it to the top of the list. That way it can get more viewers with fresh eyes. Someone must know the answer about whether Avalon needs saving throughout the series.

I can answer that- Avalon definitely still needs saving in books 2 and 3, at least.

It might be this book, do you know if the girls had their own little charms or (coins)? I remember them putting those little trinkets on the corners of the table, and that's how the girls open the portal.

Yep! The girls all wear a magical bracelet with a gemstone on it that focuses their magic, and they use the gems to open the portal. One of the girls touches the other gems to increase their ability to use magic, since that's one of her gifts.
