Happy New Year! What's everybody up to? Me, I signed up for a year long writing challenge. I made my word count today, and I'm psyched!

Erin (erin1969) | 49 comments Working on my paranormal/scifi romance. I seem to be getting into a groove and feel like the story is moving forward after a few weeks of treading water.

So far, the hero and heroine have met, and sparks fly, and they share a night of passion. The heroine finds out the hero is a quasi co-worker and decides she doesn't want a relationship under those circumstances. A month later, hero is still attracted to/obsessed with heroine and begins a campaign to win her over.

Early attempts are unsuccessful and our hero is an alpha, and decides all is fair in love and war. He gets heroine and himself assigned to the same project. She's mad at him, but engages in suck face with him anyway, against her better judgment. Now her best friend is helping her deconstruct the relationship.

Family drama is a notable subplot. There is also a missing woman subplot, but I'm not sure it works and I may leave it out.

I'm working on another story for the Maybe... series. It's a standalone featuring Mads's cousin, Ragnar, who has been unlucky at love and meets the woman who could be the love of his life while on the night train from Berlin to Rome.

I have never lived in a foreign country, but I have worked in a number of other countries. I'd love to write stories set in foreign countries.
