i hate gun nuts

after the last campus massacre, i kept waiting for some gun club to say something like "ummm, wait a minute. maybe we ought to start worrying about all the whackos who can buy and use guns..."
but instead, all i heard was pre-emptive strikes about how more guns would have stopped the tragedy. one more gun, maybe two. and in fact, what we really needed was one less gun.

If only it were as difficult to buy a gun as it is to get laid, we'd be in much better shape. Maybe we should put pacifists in charge of gun sales in this country. It would be like a frigid librarian being asked to put out. Every once in a blue moon someone would get lucky.
