Mary Catelli | 58 comments Ah, the first Witches book.

sort of, kind of. Discworld is taking form, but it's not all the way there yet.

Riverreed Greenland I love the title of the book. The pun in the title is just so... Pratchett...

Alexandria Blaelock (goodreadscomalexblaelock) | 7 comments I enjoyed that little trip down memory lane. Shame the gnolls haven't more of a presence over the series.

Ria (ban1chka) | 4 comments So, I just finished the book, and I have to say, I think it was brilliant. The best one from the Discworld series I've read so far. Absolutely perfect in terms of writing, plot, characters and world building. I was fascinated with the description of the University and am baffled as to why we were told much more about it in the first Witches novel than in the first three from the Rincewind sub-series combined. I haven't read the others yet, I'd love to completely submurge myself in what seems to be the fascinating world of Unseen University, hopefully I'll be given the chance later in the series. I wrote a slightly more detailed review on Equal Rites in the comment section of the book, so feel free to read it, if you're interested.

Mary Catelli | 58 comments Because Rincewind wasn't at the university in the first three.

Cool, your review really helps, I was a little worried because I did not think much of the first two books.

The Book Hermit I love Granny, but this was not one of my favorite books in the series. I do believe the series gets better with each book that I have read.

I agree.

Maggie Holmes | 13 comments I agree with Mary. Granny Weatherwax isn't the same in this book as she is in the others. I was listening to it so I'm not sure, but Granny in this book seemed to have had a relationship with Archchancellor Cutangle and in later books it is Ridcully. I also want to know what happens to Simon and Esk.
