Unfortunately true though, as looks like Lexx and I both have a stomach bug. Which is a pain as we had 10 dishes, 36 hours, 1 fridge and 2 people who don't like being in the kitchen together.

Now down to the last 4.5 hours till Christmas, and still most of it to do!!

I got my library card today!!!!!! I still don't have my Hawai'i driver's license but was able to get a library card by showing my car insurance card!! Yay!!!!!!!

I had hoped we'd get better in time but it's not looking likely. I had a fever and aches all night and got no sleep. So our Christmas day plans have been scuppered. We're staying at home on the boat. Get well soon! Good luck at the supermarket Sarah. It's really a place to avoid on the Saturday before Christmas, especially when it's also the 24th.

My boyfriend woke up in the night with headache, sore throat and sneezing, but he seems to feel a bit better now.

I'm preparing for christmas dinner tomorrow. I'm making chocolate mousse, tomato-grilled paprika-courgette soup and mushroom ragout. The main course we'll do tomorrow.

We seem to be on the mend, so thanks for the well wishes. I must say a sleep in helped a lot, but not a nice way to start Christmas.

We just got home from my family Christmas on Christmas Eve, with lots of wine and food consumed. Last dish is in the oven now (12 hour slow cooked pork) so it was all achieved with only one injury, a knife cut after drinking and while rushing. Oops. Off to Lexx's tomorrow for another big day.

If I miss you all in the next 24 hours, Merry Christmas to you all! May your days be relaxing, and full of food and fun. Either at home or with others. See you when we are all recovering in a few days.

Merry Christmas everyone. Just thinking about putting our Christmas lunch on. We'll have a slightly later one than I'd planned. Still feeling rough. I was up all night with earache. I had another fever too. Wishing this flu would do one now. I got a new torch for Christmas which is essential boater kit. It's really powerful with rechargeable batteries so I'm really pleased. My partner bought me a massage voucher which I'm looking forward to. I will be arranging that as soon as I feel better.

Weren't there Johnny Depp fans here? I really liked him until a few years ago, but recently he's so often in the news with these cliche hollywood issues while I always liked him so much because he did not get involved in those things, and that was off-putting. So, I'm not as crazy about him anymore as I was, but I came across this picture just now and I have to say, on a still image where he can't speak or do stupid stuff, he's still not bad at all ;-) + cool tshirt.

I'm the same as you, Peggy. I used to be a big fan of Johnny Depp until recently. I don't like how he has been acting these past couple of years. That being said, that is a nice picture!

I finally decided on our next holiday destination: Tenerife! We're going for a week in February. It will be sooooo nice to be there, where it's at least 20 degrees and sunny, as compared to likely temperatures below 10 here. And the island looks so beautiful!! I always thought it was just a resort island, but it's so much more. So we're staying far away from the resort part, and plan to visit the vulcanic national park, do some hiking, visit other nice towns, do some scenic driving. But I do want to stay somewhere close to the beach or with a pool, just to relax at the end of the day. Hopefully the weather will also be nice enough for that. And there's a 2-week carnival going on when we're there, apparently the largest summer carnival after Rio. I'm so excited to go! I'll get my Lonely Planet tomorrow and actually start planning stuff :)
