My friend and I have decided to make this an annual event. This is the 3rd year we've gone. I'm kind of sad that it's over now for another year.

I agree with Janice's old school heavy metal bands.

Get well soon Lynda!

However the consumption figures, while may be true for the 1980s, is incredibly untrue for now. But thanks for the rest of it Peggy. I blame Paul Hogan for so much.

Nup. Never heard of him. Looks like most Aussie kids though. Just managed to find a famous friend with a camera.

He is a 2 time gold medalist. That probably helped

That would be the famous bit.

I used to do this as a full on Christian, and used to get told off for it. Why invite temptation? It's not. I want to understand further and get my head around things like cultural, societal, philosophical, cultural context. Understanding is the key. As an atheist or on a moderate day, agnostic, for completely and utterly different reasons, I still do the same. I've read up on so many religions and their above to understand.
Push it. Push it real good.

But my pushing factor out was the community. I loved it, but they didn't particularly love me or my decisions it seems. And that is only my experience. I just get nostalgic when you say the above, Travis.

Jerks.

This is not true. I have been to Belgium and EVERY chocolate shop (and there are so many) have chocolate breasts as well as other bits in the WINDOW of the shop. Which is a bit of a shock when you're not used to it. When did I go there... 2012?

I went to Bruges for a few days though, which is in the Flemish part of the country. They speak Flemish (not Dutch), and then may possibly speak Dutch, French, German or English. I found English was the safe other language as the only country that hadn't occupied them. So beautiful but harder, but everyone speaks something, more than you.
Believe this changes depending which border you approach too (French, Dutch, Germany) on what is the main language.
Amazing buildings, good food and amazing beer though. I had fun.

You might have to resort to miming Lynda ;)

I too have lost my voice, but for an entirely other reason.
Yesterday I have started something I've always wanted to try, but never had the guts to do. My first ever acting class! Oh my gosh, it was so much fun! I should have done it sooner. :-D
It totally took everybody out of their comfortzone (just a little bit since it's only the first lesson). Sobbing because your bunny died; looking through rose coloured glasses because your madly in love; walking in a pannic through a dark scary forrest; feeling ecstatic because you just won the jackpot in the lotery; arguing in a bakery because your both having the worst day of your life ever. Just to name a few of the rollercoaster of emotions presented to us, played by us, in just 2 hours time.
So, as a result: no voice (from all the screaming and yelling and crying), aching muscles (from all the running around, throwing myself on the floor, etc.), and a whole lot of happiness :-D

@Sharon that sounds fun .. Love the ideas .. Keep it up
@Rusalka thats one advantage in your side to visit a place with "Multi-Language-Speakers". It does feels awkward looking for the right word to use in different language .. Where is my dictionary? And then .. Bam .. You're not sure how to pronounce that word correctly!

And I loved Deep Purple (still do). They are known best for Smoke On the Water and I played it and the album over and over. I still get psyched up when I hear that song on our classic rock station.
Speaking of chocolate private bits, my brother owned a candy shop and made his own molded chocolates. The naughty ones were kept behind the counter, out of sight. He didn't have vaginas tho! He did have naked men and women and painstakingly painted all their parts. They were kind of cute with their little pink nipples and all their furry parts. Ok, I'm a weirdo!

Yeah Smoke on the Water just has seen so much radio time.
My favorite is highway star. Also like woman from Tokyo a lot

Strange that both David Bowie and Alan Rickman died aged 69!
Thanks for that Corey Taylor Ace of Spades link Travis!

And, there's #3. I'm very sad to hear about Alan Rickman - he was great as Snape, but I remember loving him as Sheriff of Nottingham, in the super-cheesy Kevin Costner Robin Hood movie from the 90's. He owned that roll, and I've liked him in everything since. I hadn't realized he was that old, either. I would have placed him in his 50's. Effing cancer.
Let's hope that 69 does not become the new 27 - because "The 69 Club", just doesn't sound right.
