Watcha Doin' - 2016.1

Your holiday sounds idyllic! Was driving the 70 ft boat difficult? I hope you get some relief from the heat.

We will be living on O'ahu :) we start driving to California on Saturday. We fly from there to Hawaii on the 28th :)
Now trying to deal with the apartment folks is making me cry. They are having the roof done and may make us put the POD we are getting clear across the complex even though we are supposed to have 2 parking spaces available to us. Sorry to complain especially with all that has been happening in the world but I'm really frustrated :(

It's okay to be frustrated with what is going on in your life. the immediacy of our own lives and experiences that are just as important as the overall world events, if not more.

You were having your boating vacation, Sarah, while I was reading Three Men in a Boat. I thought of you when I looked at the pictures of the locks. I am glad you had a good time.

It probably won't be until next year. I was thinking about going in November, but I've booked a trip to Mexico.

Came right back into a heat wave. It was 35 degrees yesterday!! And 35 degrees around here is a bit too much because of the high humidity. It's been above 25 and several days above 30 since last Sunday, but I'm not complaining, just taking it easy. Happy summer has finally arrived, because it was really bad so far. My veggie garden is not doing very well because of all the rain and the cold we had..
Hope you're all doing good!

Good luck with the move Stephanie. Sounds like a fabulous adventure!
I've been all over the place this week. I've been flat out at work, but also sick so now even further behind, and as well as having unexpected funerals and such. So when I've come home all I've done is flopped. Hopefully back to chatty self soon.

@Janice - I missed your question before. Driving the 70ft is slightly more difficult than my 58ft. It's heavier for obe so it takes more to get going and to stop. The extra length wasn't so much of a problem although it did take a little getting used to. The boat didn't handle all that well though, not because of the length, just the boat itself. All boats are different. This one didn't like turning left all that much for some reason.

I live in a narrow bit of the country, and it is a 15 minute drive to get to Germany and a 20 minute drive to Belgium :)

I'm nervous but excited :)"
So fun!

Glad to hear your boating trip was a success, Sarah. And Peggy, that you enjoyed your Germany trip. Rusalka, i hope you get to feeling better soon!
I had an event at work today that was pretty fun. They call it the "Leadership Academy" and it's for the younger generation in the company (the millennials... oh how i hate that term... and a couple gen x'ers) since we are the future of the company. This was the first time I've gotten to meet some of the people from our other divisions so that was nice. Today's event was an indoor electric go cart race track. It was a lot fun and i actually came in third place... third from last that is! Lol. The meeting part of the day was no where near as much fun as the race, but they appear to be listening to the ideas we have and are willing to let us (and help us) try to implement some of them.

So funny!
What a great idea to do this kid of event, btw.

I've not but my partner has. I was very jealous when he went and i couldn't so I'll get to see it after all.

That's great that you will get to see it :) I have never been there either but it's a city that is high on my bucket list.

Oh my Vienna is a city on my bucket list. I have always wanted to see it. I saw a travel show years ago and have wanted to go,
I have been moving real slow with this heat wave here. I just don't seem to want to do anything but drink ice tea and watch TV,
I am getting caught up on several favorite shows,
The only problem is I have run out of tea and it is still very hot

Lynda enjoy Vegas. I am also not a gambler but love that place. I am love the piano bars and shows, My favorite thing there is people watching. One of my favorite visits was when the national rodeo was there. There was some really really good people watching that time. LOL

We are hardly back from our holiday but already thinking about the next, which will also be in early November (or the last week of October). We're probably going to Sicily or Sardinia for a week.

We're planning a few little trips. One camper trip for two nights at a local state park about 3 hours drive west of Austin. Second trip for three or four nights of river fun. Only about an hour away. Both in August.

Glad to hear your boating trip was a suc..."
The go-kart race is a great idea. When one of my step-daughtersgot married they brought families together for a day of team building at a zip-line park. It was a great way to break the ice.

Love the picture of Blake with the cactus, Stephanie!

I love Vienna, Sarah. Almost my favorite city in Europe...!
So many museums, cafes, libraries, bookshops, and Opera and music houses
Enjoy. I know you will

Lovely place. Make sure you got to the mayan ruins, if you can

That is definitely on the itinerary. It's just which one.

@Janice, I've never been in Mexico, but only seeing the pictures of the mayan ruins makes me go there. I hope you enjoy it.
@TJ, I really miss camping. Maybe we should plan something with the kids. I don't know... Only thinking in camping with so many kids makes me tired... :)
@Steph, Blakes looks as handsome as always. :) I hope everything goes well with this last part of the move.

Sorry to hear you're all so hot. It's cold and rainy here.
Austria and Vienna sounds amazing Sarah. Very jealous.
Gorgeous photo Steph. Blake looks so happy. Hope the next part of the move goes well for everyone!
I'm not going overseas this Nov, but we do have 12 days booked down the coast for our Niece's wedding, brother in law's 50th, mother in law's 70th, my 33rd). First real long trip away with this part of Lexx's family (2 sisters, 1 brother, mum, 2 aunts, stepfather, all related family) . Two coast houses on the beach booked with 18 of us. Will be interesting, but hopefully a lot of fun.
