I just got home from a wedding and had a lot of fun. I won't tell you about my wardrobe malfunction or .... Well, use your imagination. (All fixed before I walked into the church.)
The groom and his friends are all hockey players. I thought the MC was joking when he said that the shirts had to stay on until after the speeches. Apparently not! No joke. Let me just say - eye candy.
Headache in the morning. I've already started with the Tylenol.

Lucky You, Janice!

I missed this post! You made me laugh, Janice! I'm glad you had a good evening. :)

Must have? Are you in doubt as to how hard you rocked? LOL.
I saw Disturbed in May and they were awesome. Saint Asonia too!
I've been feeling sort of yucky for the last couple of days. Dizzy, nausea, sensitive to light and sound. When it started Saturday I thought I was getting a migraine, so I took a pain pill and went to bed. The feeling came back mid-morning on Sunday when I was away from home with nothing to do but bear it until I got home. Rest on the couch seemed to help, but the feeling came back shortly before leaving for a cook-out at some friends' house. We had to leave early because I was feeling so bad. Of course everyone there said I'm probably pregnant. (eek!)
I'm Feeling a little better today, but still not well. If I move too fast I get really dizzy and nauseas again. I put a call request with MDLive (a program my company is enrolled in that lets you talk to a doctor on the phone without having to go to a clinic). The Dr. I spoke with thinks my problem is that I have fluid behind my ears causing the dizzy feelings. Told me to take an OTC decongestant and called in an RX for a nasal steroid. Hopefully that will help. It is really hard to function when feeling dizzy.

I was never big on breaking benjamin but they are awesome live. Biggest surprise of the night actually. Guess I never listened to them loud enough

I have to go out of town tomorrow for training on a new software we are using at work. I have to be at my office by 6:30 am to meet the others that are going so we can drive down together. That means I have to leave my house by 5:45... I'm so not looking forward to getting up that early. :( The silver lining is that the training was originally scheduled to start at 8:00 and they pushed it back to 9:00 since we have so far to drive.

I'm not a fan of the new homepage either. In fact, I'm going to bookmark the "My Discussions" under my profile and circumvent the new homepage.

I used the new format for 4 or 5 days but couldn't get used to it. I hope they don't do it mandatory in the future, and always exist the old site as an option.

I'm afraid I get the impression the option to keep the old site will eventually be removed.
It's not changed for me yet.

I'm not surprise. It's their way of doing things.

I don't like the idea, to be honest.
My home page changed a long time ago, at the beginning of all this craziness. As I said I used it a few days and then changed it back. At that point I had almost forgot about the new home page... Too bad...

Funny how we all use the same thing different ways.

How do you all access the group discussions? Do you switch back and forth between the tabs?

Ah yes, I can see what you mean now. I never really looked at that tab, hence why I didn't think there was any real difference

I only use notifications for specific things, and request that they only show on the webpage - no email. ACK!

I turned off the notifications for groups I'm not being active in. And even in the two groups I'm active, I occasionally turn notifications off for threads I'm not following. The typical case is topplers. If I'm not participating, after wishing luck to everybody, I turn off the notifications, since topplers means 10 or 12 threads being very active for many days. This way I don't miss the "other" stuff.
A couple of months ago I set my home page to see only my friends reviews. I really make a point to take a look at every new review of each of my friends (at least I do my best), and having them mixed with status updates, and comments in groups I don't even join was doing it hard. This way I have less new updates each day to read, and that means I can read them all.
It has worked pretty well. I love the social part of GR, but my free time is limited (as everyone's) so I try to enjoy it the best I can spending a reasonable amount of time on it. That means more time to read. :)

I hope everyone is well and having a great time and just been too busy to check in for that reason and not because life has gotten crazy or bad things have happened.
My work has been really busy and I tend to avoid computers on the weekends so that is why I haven't checked in. Nothing particularly good or bad going on. We're working on getting a new payroll system started at my company and I'm the one heading up the project. That combined with all of my normal work has been keeping me occupied. I'm really excited about getting this new system going though, it should be a real time saver!

Stephanie, Hawaii??? Wow! That's what I call a move!
We are in the middle of summer vacations and having some far. At this moment enjoying my husband, who was away for three weeks and came back a couple of days ago. He is leaving again for ten days soon, so we are trying to have as much fun as possible with the kids.
My maternal grandmother is turning 90 next November, and I'm going to visit her for her birthday. So for the first time since we moved here nearly 6 years ago I'm on my way to spend 10 days in Uruguay.

I'm nervous but excited :)

That's amazing Stephanie about the move. What a place to move to! I am very jealous. Good luck with the plans. When does it happen? Do you have much to sort?
