Watcha Doin' - 2016.1

It comes down to the lesser of two evils (if it ends up being Trump vs Clinton). But at the same time, they are both awful, in my opinion :)

How can Johnnny Depp play Trump?! I'm guessing it's not a serious role!

I believe he's done now.

I believe he's done now."
He is making a statement Friday. He is no longer debating, but I think he is going to keep his name in rather than withdraw and support another candidate. After all every vote for him is one less for Trump. What I make from his facebook message anyway

This sums up a lot of what I have observed about American politics over the past 10 years. I also do not think in away that Trump is the answer (he really, REALLY isn't), but it shows that the establishment should be worried.
Here in Aus we've been getting sick for a while of the two party system. Last election the Senate ended up with a big crossbench of 10 I think? Maybe 12, of small parties or independents, as people wanted to express this and protest. Some of these guys are great, some are basketcases, some small parties imploded. The party I support is the Greens in Aus, and they have seen their proportion of the vote increase each election as people want another option. They are hovering around 12-15% at the moment, which shows they aren't to be dismissed. However, the major parties still do. Which just means the next week the vote increases again.

Interesting idea...

And fair enough. In Aus, you don't vote for a President. You vote for your local member who best represents you and what you think (in an ideal world, okay. Sometimes it's the one you agree with more, and the one you disagree with less). They are supposed to represent that in their party. The party with the most votes, their leader (chosen by the party) is the PM. It's supposed to be more representational. It sometimes works, it sometimes doesn't. But I like the idea more than the big Presidential two year roadshow.

so true.

I'm now sitting with a mug of soup trying to warm up! Also, who knew two guys fitting a boiler could make so much mess!

That's what we do here as well. However, many people will vote for the local representative based on who they want for Prime Minister.

As far as the elections go Travis, I'm voting for Rubio next week in our primary. He's been good in FL where I used to live, and seems to have some common sense. He's also more moderate in his policies than Trump or Cruz.

This sums up my feelings exactly! And like you said, Democrats will win in NY. And California. The southern states will vote Republican mostly. And this isn't truly representative of the entire states' views. The Electoral Collge is a joke. I'll never understand why we can't just use the popular vote. The EC made more sense maybe back in the 1800's, but with the technology we have today, I don't get the need for it.
I feel confident that Hillary will be our next president if Trump gets the Demo. nomination, which it looks like he is going to. Hillary will win based on two things that are not political at all: People voting against Trump, and because she is a woman. Too many people voted for Obama simply because he was a black man and I've seen/heard too many people wanting to vote for Hillary because we would have our first female pres.
It reminds me of an episode of Will and Grace. During a local election Will and Grace each throw strong support to two different candidates. One was a woman and the other a homosexual man. They didn't know anything about either candidate's beliefs, just those facts. It turns out both were crazy so W&G both decide to not vote for either of them. The show ends with them leaving to go to the polls when they found out there was a black person in the running.

Check it out, Rusalka and other Depp fans! It's by an artist named Talya Dunleavy. Not anyone I personally know, but I just love her sketches, especially this one : )

Sounds like a plan.

That's funny. I always find it fascinating how much an accent can change over just a short amount of miles. I'm not sure what my accent is now. I was born in the Home Counties in the South of England. I then lived in the north in Nottingham for 4 years then down to the West Country in Bristol. Most of the jobs I've had in these stronger accented places I have still been around people without the local accent so I don't think it rubbed off on me all that much. The odd word did though. I do notice the odd Bristolian twang and the "Where's that to?" come out occasionally though. And it's funny because I always notice as I've done it and make a comment that it sounded a bit West Country!

Lol, got to love Mickey Flannagan!

So funny! Thanks for sharing.

Same thing here. I have noticed activities out of the house tired me more now. I do thousand of things here at home during the day (which starts 5:50 am and ends around 11 pm, with occasional interruptions during the night too), but I'm used to this kind of work. But for some reason I'm getting more tired now when I have too much activity outside of the house. That's specially in this time of the year. During the summer we do lots of things so I get used to it quickly.

I'm kind of watching (from afar - the UK), with horror and disbelief.
