I picked up another Kindle freebie - Whiskey Rebellion. I don't know if it will be any good, but it was free and I've seen Liliana Hart's name so often that I thought I should read one of her books. Someday.

I don't think I really like Whiskey, but it is "pink" and free and her name is Holmes AND it sounds interesting! Thanks Janice.
I picked up a couple of ebooks today:Promise of Blood
Moon Bayou
Promise of Blood is one of today's Kindle Deals for $1.99. IBooks is offering it for the same price.
Moon Bayou is a freebie.

Great catch, Lisa!
It's almost the end of the month, so I used my two allotted Audible credits for this month and got:Under the Dome
Lover Enshrined
I also picked up a Whispersync deal:
Wizard's First Rule
1.99 Kindle/1.99 audio
Me too. I have the first 8 volumes (print) on my bookshelf. I've only read the first one so far but plan to continue.
I picked up Cambodia Noir by Nicholas Seeley and We Love You, Charlie Freeman by Kaitlyn Greenidge. I'm very excited. Now if only I can finish the 6 books I'm reading and get to the new ones, lol!
Tasha wrote: "All books on my tbr! I read Gillespie and I and remember that I enjoyed it. Great picks!"I have just read your review for 'Gillespie and I', Tasha. I'm glad you enjoyed it :) I have had The Observations sitting on my TBR pile for months so I will probably read that first but I am really looking forward to 'Gillespie'.
I just bought all the books. Like all of them. America, the land of the cheap books.I'll list them all for you when I get home (23 hours! !!) but had to share.
haha, I didn't realize we ranked when it came to cheap books! although I usually only buy used books and they are pretty cheap.
I've been shopping on AudibleNo One Knows
What Angels Fear
The Emperor's Blades
The Book of Obeah
All total, $15.00 US.

Ha!. I did the same when I was there. Brought a suitcase full of only books
Craig wrote: "I just bought the blood house by Amy Cross, but I haven't started it yet.I've been savoring a disk world book slowly so it doesn't end so quickly"Any chance you can link your books, Craig? We're a nosy bunch and like to be able to sneak an easy peek. Thanks.
Right, so we got:The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao
Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers
Breath, Eyes, Memory
Pietr the Latvian
Something from the Nightside
Redshirts
Trailer Park Fae
The Doubt Factory
Psi Hunt
The Road to Bedlam
Rainbows End
Gulp: Adventures on the Alimentary Canal
Packing for Mars: The Curious Science of Life in the Void
When She Woke
Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex
Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife
The Hangman's Daughter
Been particularly looking for Mary Roach's books in Aus for years and years and can't find. Only been able to find The Hangman's Daughter over here for $40 (!!). And have been looking for When She Woke since YLTO did it for a monthly read when I first joined, and never ever seen it. So score!
Also bought some of these books from the bookstore in The Graduate. So that's kinda cool.
I meant to ask you, Sarah, as another Bacigalupi fan if you had heard of The Doubt Factory. Because I had never come across it until Lexx found it.
No I've not heard of it. I promptly added it after seeing you'd added it. I thought I'd gone through all his books and added them to my wishlist. This one managed to escape me. Sounds good although it has a low star rating.
I just bought Disgrace as i enjoyed the first book in the series. The whole series is on offer at the moment but i decided to just get book 2. Otherwise the whole series will overwhelm me.

Pretty sure it was djinni when I read it when it first came out. UK version. Just a spelling variation. I think the actual reall spelling for it in Jewish texts is djinni. Good to see the story is to be continued.

Lisa, let me know if you want to buddy read [book:The Golem and the Jinni at some point. I have owned it for a long time and really want to read it, but somehow never get round to it.

The UK version has always been djinni from what I can remember. I had no idea it is being turned into a series!
Peggy wrote: "Lisa, let me know if you want to buddy read The Golem and the Jinni at some point."I would be up for that, Peggy. I might not be able to get to it for a few months but it would be great to read it together.
