New Purchases - 2016
Thanks to this group I purchased multiple books and then also got sucked in by those darn kindle deals. Some of them were free and all were <$6.All-Butter ShortDead
Water--for next month's read
Prince of Wolves
Lethal Bayou Beauty--started another series thanks to this month's read
The Tenth Gift
I got The Exquisite and Immaculate Grace of Carmen Espinoza, which was discounted on kindle. Not sure why I added it but I realized it will fit my Mexico geocache site and I can replace the book I had planned but which is much longer and was never super excited about.
My preorder for The Thorn of Emberlain has been cancelled by amazon as apparently the release has been cancelled by the publisher. It has kept being pushed back this year but now totally cancelled. I wonder what's going on there. I'm disappointed.

It seems it has been delayed until April 2017, or at least it's what a comment in the main page of the book says.
It was due last Sep, then it was April/May, then this September and now it doesn't even appear on Amazon. Strange that a preorder is cancelled. Surely they'd just notify of a delay but keep the order active?! I'm not desperate as I still have the 3rd one to read. But still...
I just bought a short stories collection compiled by Stephen King (although stories not by him) Six Scary Stories and pre-ordered A Head Full of Ghosts.
Not a new purchase but i won a book on goodreads - the latest Tana French book The Trespasser. Now i have the whole series. I had better get on with it then. :-)
Sarah wrote: "Is that your Halloween book sorted Lisa?"It could very well be, Sarah. It's a doorstep though so I might have to have a shorter book as backup, just in case.

Finally!! The Death of Dulgath is coming out in paperback. I just ordered a copy, it's available from November 1.

Yes. After reading Leviathan Wakes by him, i added this one to my list too. It just dropped in price so i snapped it up. I don't know when I'll get to it yet though.
I just bought Secrets of a Charmed Life from the Audible sale. I also picked up City of Women recently from a little book store while I was on vacation.
Oh, Thank You, Naomi! I just snatched it up from Barnes & Noble for my Nook for the same price. I really wanted it, but did not want to pay the price they were asking before($9.99)
I bought Swords of Good Men. It's been on my wishlist for ages. I've become slightly obsessed with vikings as i've been working my way through the tv series (no connection to this book other than also about vikings).
I got an Amazon voucher for my birthday so naturally, I used it to buy some books. The Wonder
His Bloody Project
Kindle books:
A Song for Arbonne
Tigana
The Last Light of the Sun
The Lions of Al-Rassan
I forgot to report it, but I visited B&N with my 2 youngest ones two weeks ago, and we bought a few books, since we never did our "Summer Box" this year (a box full of assorted books they get the last day of school). We were really busy and never get to it. We bought middle grade:
The One and Only Ivan
Counting by 7s
Who Was Dr. Seuss?
The War that Saved My Life
The Fourteenth Goldfish
Number the Stars
And picture books:
Don't Push the Button!
What Do You Do with a Problem?
What Do You Do with an Idea?
I feel like I'm forgetting another book. Maybe is just that I also bought a 2017 planner for me.
They are happy, and I'm happy, since I didn't read 3 of the middle grade novels.
I have read two of your middle grade books, Sandra and am curious about two others. More books for my TBR. I have wondered why they listed the Lois Lowery book as a middle reader, because of the age of the MC, I guess. I have not read it yet. I loved Ivan. It was a sweet story.
In my kids' school they read Number the Stars in 6th grade, Cherie. I was impressed the first time, but it seems to work fine. They also read Out of the Dust, which I find pretty intense too.
After 3 weeks of not so patiently waiting, I finally received my copy of
. I cannot wait to start reading it. His first Maggie and Scott book,
, was really really good!!

I'm still thinking about getting The Sound of Glass, but I just can't make up my mind. My GR friend's ratings are all over the place on that one.
