New Purchases - 2016
Did you buy something else with the £20 already Sarah? ;-)I'm reading The Way of Kings, Part 1 which I'm really enjoying. I'm only 100 or so pages in, but I just ordered the rest of the series: The Way of Kings, Part 2, Words of Radiance, Part 1, Words of Radiance, Part 2
Not yet. I keep looking at what to buy but nothing is jumping out at me right now. I might buy a couple next in the series books but I'm not sure.
He has so many series going on! I imagine his house full of whiteboards and post-its and scribbles on the wall (okay, he probably has a computer) containing information about all the worlds, characters, and fantasy-stuff he has created for each book. I would totally start mixing all my stories up if I was writing so many series at once.

I really liked it, so would be interested in how they compare to the books. I'll get there one day!
I picked up a couple of audiobooks. Pride and Prejudice was a whispersync deal - $0.00 kindle/$0.00 audiobook. Farthing was Audible's Daily Deal at $3.95 US.
I am waiting for my Knickerbocker Classics edition of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare to arrive.
I picked up the SYNC free audiobook today, The Sin Eater’s Daughter. http://www.audiobooksync.com/ 2016 program is now in it's second week.
I got that one too, Janice. I love that program. I also picked up The Kitchen House and The House at Riverton from the Audible buy 1/get 1 sale.
Gavin wrote: "I am waiting for my Knickerbocker Classics edition of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare to arrive."That's a really pretty edition, Gavin. I had his complete works in paperback but it fell apart a few years ago. I really need to buy myself a new hardback edition.

I got The Colony (which I had in my cart from a previous sale) and The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires in that sale. I have two credits left till July when my membership renews.
Janice wrote: " I have two credits left till July when my membership renews. "That's not too bad. I have overused my credits too. I have 10 left (on the 24 plan), but I don't renew until January. So, I've spent 14 in less than 5 months. Oops.
I've been rationing mine to 2 a month. Still, with the sales and whispersync deals, I've managed to acquire much more than just the credit purchases. Oh, and the library rentals. Can't forget them. I've been using the library much more this year, when I have a whack of books I own that need to be read.
That's smart, Janice. You save so much money using the library and you don't get stuck owning books that you didn't enjoy.
I just bought a few books. I got Gods of Risk, Third Grave Dead Ahead, Bone Crossed and Children of Time. The first 3 are for series that I'm currently working through and the last one is a stand alone book.
I picked up
today at our used bookstore. I have credit there from selling a few books so I only had to pay $1.98 for it :)
@Sandra, that may have been the reason I bought it ;) I have a hard time resisting books that have a dog on the cover, lol :)

is a free Kindle daily deal on Amazon. :)
Just realised we have a passage book buddy read next month so perhaps it will have to wait a little - all depends on when I finish my current book.
Sarah wrote: "Just realised we have a passage book buddy read next month so perhaps it will have to wait a little - all depends on when I finish my current book."All these great new releases this year. I might try to sneak The Fireman in between now and when we read The City of Mirrors. I'm behind in my "new release challenge" by one book. That could get me caught up.
Janice wrote: "I picked up the audible daily deal today - The Devil You Know."I grabbed that one too. :)
I don't think I'll get either of SYNC's offerings for this week. They are 100 Sideways Miles and This Boy's Life. Neither really appeals to me and I don't see the point of getting them just because they're free.
Does someone known about The Wild Princess: A Novel of Queen Victoria's Defiant Daughter. ? It is a offer today and I want to know if it's worth
I have bought:Women in the Middle Ages: The Lives of Real Women in a Vibrant Age of Transition
Civilization during the Middle Ages
Save the Last Bullet for God
Voyage of the Beagle (got it free)

Looks like you have gone on a mini medieval binge, Mariab :D I like the sound of both of them so that's two more for my wishlist.
I was tempted, Kristie, but decided to pass it by. Did you pick up any in the current sale. There were a couple of books I was interested in. The one that really piques my interest is Dead Mountain: The Untold True Story of the Dyatlov Pass Incident but the author narrates it. I listened to the clip and decided to pass on it too. It's available at my library, surprisingly enough, so I think I'll borrow it instead.
Not yet. There were a couple that I was interested in, but I haven't had a chance to really go through and see what they have and listen to the samples. It's not really my favorite genres, so I may pass this time unless one sounds really good. The few that initially stood out to me were Why Be Happy When You Could Be Normal?, We Bought a Zoo, and The Nazi and the Psychiatrist: Hermann Göring, Dr. Douglas M. Kelley, and a Fatal Meeting of Minds at the End of WWII.
I agree. Non-fiction can be a hit or miss for me. I do better when I read it in print rather than on audio.

I haven't started the Inspector Banks novels yet, but I really enjoy the tv series by the BBC. You guys get that over there?"
Rusalka, I wasn't aware of this message until now, and I apologize for not responding sooner. Yes, we get BBC and I am a huge fan of BBC mystery/detector series, but we don't get this one yet. I may have to see if it's on Amazon Prime. Tempting, that.
