My Review: www.goodreads.com/review/show/1643135608"
This is on my bottom 10 list for this year. I did not like the char or how it shifted from time periods. I had expected to love this book. It is of a type i usually enjoy

Next up is a geocache read - The Book of Human Skin"
I fell in love with Ove by the end of the book. Such well written chars.

I started Suite Française for the monthly challenge."
Enjoy Suite Francaise. It is a well written book about a bad time in this world's history.

(from Stephen King's Different Seasons p391.
I realized my first thoughts were heat, humidity and yard work :(
Attitude adjusted courtesy of The Impalas "I Ran All The Way Home" and youtube.
Thank you Cherie for suggesting listening to the music mentioned in books.

I am now starting The Essex Serpent

I've started One Grave at a Time. I'm determined to finish this series.

While I was going to start The Exorcist next, I may have to rethink that. Scary Movies is ahead in the poll for the October group read. I may be jumping the gun if I start it now.
I think I'll start Between Two Fires. It's also a horror story but I don't think it's been made into a movie.

Yes, 7 votes for scary movies and 6 votes for old westerns.

I will be starting Sleeping with the Enemy: Coco Chanel, Nazi Agent today for my real life book club.

I have -finally!- begun my China book for the Geo Ch Snake Agent, I'm enjoying it!

I'll start The Exorcist tomorrow.

I get like that with challenges sometimes, Travis. I am still participating in the geocache challenge and hope to complete it before the end of the year but I haven't taken part in many of our monthly challenges this year.

I'm not doing well with my geocache either. I'm still hoping I'm complete it, but we'll see. It completely depends how much time I'm able to focus on it in the next couple of months, which are looking to be pretty busy IRL.

I think about 1/3 of my books in the challenge have been slotted that way, Janice. Even when I had books planned for all of the tasks, if I read something not on the list, I always checked to see if it would fit somewhere. There have been a few books that I made myself finish, but not that many, and lots of them have been wonderful reads, that I never would have had any thought of looking at, except for the challenge.
Too bad about The Darwin Elevator Sarah and Kristie. I listened to all three books (twice). I loved it!

My plan is to read the 4 sites (50% in the last book) and then make my own travelplan, reading only for souvenirs, that is, the third task in each site. I don't think I'm gonna finish the 'all sites' task, but I'm going to read as many as I can

I started The Lifeboat for the monthly theme. So far it is intriguing, and it looks like a fast read.
