Read this book last year and cannot find it now. He is in some form of special services in the military his wife dies on the way to pick him up from the airport upon his returning home for a mission. He keeps all her things locked up in a room in the basement. The heroine unlocks the room and finds it all one day. His wife had been pregnant and nobody knew. Her mother blames him but later on you find out she actually blames herself for sending her daughter a text around the time of the crash. He has the heroine living with him at some point and after she has a big Christmas dinner at his house with his family he ends up braking up with her and she goes and is living with his ex mother in law. She had befriend her while he was gone on a mission it also seems like he is very wealthy. He and his friend had developed something together and she started working as his secretary at the begging of the book. His friend gets hurt in a mission and loses a leg and she helps him rehabilitate and they end up becoming running buddies. I think maybe she has a troubled past and an ex is after her and has a guy he met in prison come after her at some point. That's all I can think of right now. Please help!
