Summary: The different take on a love story by Rachel Hauck is set on an island off the coast of Georgia and in a kingdom island in the sea. The narrators of the story are Susanna Truitt and Nate Kenneth aka Nathaniel Henry Kenneth Mark Stratton. Susanna is a late twenties landscape architect southern girl who has just been dumped after being with her boyfriend for twelve years. Nate is a crown prince who is taking his last vacation before becoming king.
Personal Reaction: I have read this book quite a few times and it just takes me back to my childhood of falling in love with a prince and becoming a princess. I feel almost every young girl dreams of her prince finding her at least once. This is a great book for one to return to the childhood of dreaming about love and life. I liked this book especially because it showed independence and standing up for yourself even when it might not be the easiest or the best for others. I love the message, of being true to yourself and true love can have no limits, found in the pages of the great book written by Rachel Hauck.
