I am already planning my Valentine's Day Shopping on Bookoutlet for when my husband gets paid next week. This is bad. He gives me a set amount and I am already at it before shipping and I've got to cut it down some. Ugh, this is hard. Do you guys think he'll notice if I spend a little extra lol

Lol you are too funny! I'm about to send out my secret Cupid stuff. The last book is taking forever to get here. Idk why.

I know, I cannot help it. I guess because some of the books they only have a quantity of 1 if they sell before I can buy them then I guess my amount will go down and I shouldn't worry so much. Next Thursday cannot get here fast enough. Of course I've also got to put a down payment on our Disney trip that the kids still know nothing about.

Yeah I'm spending my secret Cupid stuff today. I just finished. Lol.

Part of me is jealous that I did not put myself in the Secret Cupid.

I'm trying to keep a trip to Disney World from the kids and I'm excited. Granted it doesn't happen until the end of May. So I'm trying to get some things done before we go. So I'm scatter brained.

Okay so I'm planning to take a book to Disney World with me. Don't laugh, I've been told if you have a book with you when you meet Gaston to tell him the book has pictures in it. If I remember to do this does anyone want to see pictures of this?

lol, Last year I had a book I was reading while we were waiting on him to come back from a break and I wanted a picture with him because he's a Beauty and the Beast character and the only one that I had not gotten a picture with and he took my book from me before the picture going this is embarrassing. I wish I had a picture of him handing it back to me because I almost had to jump for it.

The trip isn't until the end of May and I'm already starting to pack. It's things we don't use every day like swim wear and beach towels. My husband never wears shorts except there so I've already packed those.

I'm planning which book to take. I am thinking Off the Page by Jodi Picoult and it does have pictures in it. I have been reading that book since like September. I kept getting distracted.

I've also been getting the things together for the mods. I literally start planning everything early because my oldest son's birthday is the 5th of March. He's so excited. He's in 1st grade and they are getting better at reading and he made me a proud book reading mommy because he wants books for his birthday along with his usual games and toys. Then my anniversary with my husband is April 30th. So I literally have to get the ball rolling in February to make sure that I've got everything that we need by the time we leave. I'll be MIA for most of May.

Okay so my phone gave me the Android of death a few hours ago...So I am now without a phone until Thursday when taxes decide to hit our account. UGH...my phone is my life line in so many ways since we live in the middle of no where.

Yes, I guess I will be spending a lot of time reading while I do not have a phone. :(

Ugh sorry I've been kind of absent. The weather has been bad and I'm totally swamped with petsitting. Dog walking sucks in this. Then my car battery died because it was so cold. I was supposed to go to the Westminster dog show but I couldn't because of my car and it was too late to take the train but good thing I didn't because Grand Central had a huge power outage. This week is off to a horrible start.

Oh it sounds like it is off to a horrible start. I hope that it gets better. Is it still snow or is it rain now? Either weather is horrid.

My week hasn't really started yet. The oldest had the day off yesterday from school because of the holiday and then today he is out of school for a teacher in service day. He doesn't go back until tomorrow. UGH, he and his brother have been driving me nuts.

So to keep myself busy and not nuts I have decided that today I am going to redo my bookshelf. I really need to get to my bookshelf tour for my channel but I am waiting for my other two book cases before I do that.

message 171: by [deleted user] (new)

You both seem so busy. Lol. I haven't nearly been as busy. Just my job.

I'm feeling a bit bummed recently. The excitement of the new job is great but today my Anxiety has shot through the roof. I think it's because at 6am in the morning my mother in law burst through our front door screaming. It's 10 am now and she's still here.

message 172: by Megan (new)

Megan (ReadingRover) | 1232 comments Mod
I love doing things like redoing a bookshelf. It's so soothing somehow!

Oh no Leela. Why was she there now? And why so early?

message 173: by [deleted user] (new)

I have no idea. My husband is Hmong. And their mom speaks mostly Hmong. So I don't understand her. I only understand a few things because it's a hard language. But she's still screaming. My husband won't go outside our room to check. But I hear his sister yelling too. So thinking they have been upset with each other. But I agree. 6am is way too early for this.

message 174: by Andrea (new)

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
I am repeating Megan's questions. Why is she there? and Why so early? and my next question Why does she have a key?

message 175: by [deleted user] (new)

Cause my husband decided she needed one. -.- Since the passing of their father they're all extra spoiling their mother. But she is driving me insane. She says she's here cause she's lonely.

message 176: by Megan (new)

Megan (ReadingRover) | 1232 comments Mod
Omg that's insane. Your husband should put on his big boy pants and set some boundaries. (No offense!)

message 177: by Andrea (new)

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
I would say I agree with Megan but since I live with my parents I can't really say that, but at the same time I want to say it because my parents are pretty good about not interfering with us and the kids or anything. Next thing you know she's going to want to move in.

message 178: by [deleted user] (new)

Omg! Andrea, don't jinx me! I cannot have her living with me!

I talked to my husband since we had a date today. I told him he needed to stop coddling his mother and I don't want her with that key anymore nor at our house when people are sleeping! Especially when she's on the phone screaming her head off. Literally! She was apparently on the phone this morning when she came over but she was yelling instead of talking! For at least 3 hours!

If he keeps allowing her to do these things, I'm going to make him go out there to entertain her instead of hiding in our bedroom. -.-

I'm sorry. I am not trying to jinx you. I would never do that. He shouldn't have been hiding in your room to begin with its his mother. He should have been dealing with her the moment she walked in the house.

message 180: by Megan (new)

Megan (ReadingRover) | 1232 comments Mod
I'm so sorry you have to deal with that. You're totally right. He shouldn't be hiding. Why did she come over just so she could yell on her phone? That's weird. Relatives can be so trying. The worst part is it was so early.

message 181: by [deleted user] (new)

He likes to hide because his mother likes to be difficult.

Megan, she says she was lonely. That's why she came over to have her phone call. -.-

At least today, no random visits.

Inky Curiosity question. Do any of you keep a specific Book Journal or do you just let Goodreads be your journal?

message 186: by [deleted user] (new)

I have a book journal as well as my goodreads.

I stared a book journal this year! I'm ising the journal Leela gave me in my secret Santa book ;) It's just a double of all the books I've read this year though.

message 191: by [deleted user] (new)

Omg! My husband surprised me with my very own, brand new laptop! I just came home and he had it all set up for me. He also bought me a new bookshelf for my books and he said he was going to find me a cute desk so that I can make it all pretty! <3 I am being so spoiled this month!!!! <3 I don't know why. Maybe it's because he keeps making me mad. -.-

Awe he is so sweet. I am about to get a new bookshelf. Hubby wants to buy them one at a time. Which I am fine with but my books are not because I have so many sitting on the floor or different areas of the house.

message 194: by [deleted user] (new)

That's what my husband does for Me. I get my bookshelves one at a time. And then I stuff as many as I can in the shelves. But I want to make them pretty.

message 195: by Andrea (new)

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
He is going to buy me two it is just a matter of moving things in our room to make them fit.

message 196: by [deleted user] (new)

That's always the hardest. I did that two days ago. Now finally I have one shelf for my tbr and one shelf for my favorites and one shelf for my husbands books.

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
I just put my husband's books in with mine because its easier because he read some of mine and I read some of his.

message 198: by Inky (new)

Inky Gotta love waking up way early because your dog gives you a um... let's say a lovely "present". I can't get back you sleep now so I guess I'll spend some extra time reading. You have to find the good in things.

message 199: by Andrea (new)

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
Yes you do. I am up this early everyday and I am usually reading when I get home from taking my child to school.

message 200: by Inky (new)

Inky Eh I'm kind of expecting needing to be woken up early. The pup I'm talking about is 19 (yes I said nineteen) years old. Most of the time he's fine but every now and then there's an accident because he can't catch himself fast enough. It happens. I'm grateful for everyday I get to spend with him and my other 11 year old pup.
