Maybe you can find out where she got it from and they can help you or you can go to a computer tech store and they can get it to unlock.

message 52: by [deleted user] (new)

Hadn't thought about a computer tech store. Like Best Buy right?

message 53: by Megan (new)

Megan (ReadingRover) | 1232 comments Mod
Yeah Best Buy should be able to help. Maybe take the receipt with you if you have it just so they don't think you stole it. Lol

Oh man my weekend just got so much longer. My little man got sick a few hours ago right before I was going to start us on some sprints.

message 55: by [deleted user] (new)

No she got it from a flea market. So we don't know if they got it from a yard sale or something or if it was theirs. So no receipt.

Are you able to get into the settings?

message 58: by [deleted user] (new)

Ok it's a fourth generation kindle, I don't think I can get into the settings and if I can, I don't know how. I can turn it on and stuff but can't get passed the password page.

I would call the customer service line and see if they can help you.

message 60: by [deleted user] (new)

It gives me a website. I'll get on after work and call. I've been at work since 2:45 and I get off at 11.

message 63: by Sharon (new)

Sharon | 22 comments Sorry for the change of subject, but how do you post a comment with the cover of the book?

message 64: by [deleted user] (new)

There's a little link on the bottom when you're posting a comment that says add a book. Just click on it and you just fill it out. :)

message 65: by Sharon (new)

Sharon | 22 comments thank you! :D

message 67: by Inky (new)

Inky I feel like I fell off the grid when I comes to Goodreads. Lol. I apologize for not being involved with the readathon. Jan 15th was my boyfriend's birthday and Jan 10th was our 6 month anniversary so we spent to the whole weekend celebrating and relaxing. I was a very fun weekend but now I need to keep going with my reading! My goal was to read 4 books this month and I'm 2 behind. Oops! Lol. Oh well. I'll get to it. =)

Glad to have you back. I had a sick child on my hands so I spent a lot of time on my kindle. So I got an eBook read.

message 70: by Inky (new)

Inky It's definitely nice to be back. I missed all of you! I hope your baby is feeling better Andrea! What ebook did you read? I started reading one of my physical books and then I ended up buying the ebook because the bulkiness of the book was annoying me... Lol.

He is back to his bouncy four year old self. I read Gerard's Beauty by Marie Hall.

I am doing well. I am totally wishing that this rain would stop. It's going to cause snow flurries where I live.

message 74: by [deleted user] (new)

I want to see snow one day! It never snows here. Just black ice and frost.

message 75: by Inky (new)

Inky Yeah we're going to get slammed with snow here. I'm spending the weekend at my boyfriend's and we're going to the store tonight, maybe get a couple of movies but we're bunkering down at home.

message 76: by Inky (new)

Inky On a side note, it there anyone who gets stressed out when they do they "currently reading" on Goodreads. It seems like I take forever to finish the books I set as currently reading or I just never finish them. I don't think I'm going to keep setting them this year.

message 77: by [deleted user] (new)

I feel stressed out when it's a book I can't get into but it's in my currently reading list.

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
I usually take it out if it is one I cannot get into and try to pick it back up later.

message 79: by [deleted user] (new)

I think I did that at least three times already.

message 80: by TessaMarie (new)

TessaMarie Beard I don't know if there are any more 2000s or 90s Kids out there, but I just found something amazing.

Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide Web Series

message 81: by [deleted user] (new)

message 82: by TessaMarie (new)

I'm sorry I have not been around the last couple of days. I've been having a pretty hectic life recently. I hope everyone is doing well.

message 84: by [deleted user] (new)

We are doing well. You ok, Andrea?

message 85: by Inky (new)

Inky I'm excited to see what the books are going to be for this month. I had wanted to read this months throughout the month but life got in the way. Bleh. I'm going to read them eventually but I definitely want to participate in February's book reads. Who knows, maybe I can get through one of January's books this week.

message 86: by [deleted user] (new)

I did ok this month. Not as well as I thought I'd do. With the funeral preparations and the funeral itself, it got hard. But this month should be so much better. And I'm excited.

Has anyone started watching the new Shadowhunters show? It's based on the mortal instruments. I watched the first episode. It seems ok so far. What's weird is that they made Luke a black guy. I don't have a problem with that I just never pictured him that way. I feel like they just did it to throw in a person of color though. Did I miss something in the books?

message 88: by Inky (new)

Inky I want to read the books before I watch the show but because of the hype the waiting list at the library is literally 15+ people =(

message 89: by Megan (new)

Megan (ReadingRover) | 1232 comments Mod
Really? I'm surprised the wait list is still so long?

I am excited for Feb. Well reading wise. Thankfully nothing I want to buy is coming out in February so maybe I won't buy anything. Yeah right that so isn't going to happen I have no impulse when I go into a store.

I have been watching it and it's getting better. I think it was odd but it seems to fit. How do you like this Clary compared to the one from the movie? I mean I like Lily Collins but I just don't think she was a right fight. And I love the guy they have playing Jace. Oh man oh man saw him in Vampire Academy and just knew when they started talking about a TV show for Mortal Instruments he would be perfect because of the brooding he does in Vampire Diaries. Oh and Izzy love her. I like her better than the other one. Although they did something in this most recent episode that did make me question things, but won't give anything away since you have only watched the first episode.

I looove Jace in the show! He's so much better than the one in the movie. Clary seems ok so far. I only watched the first episode. I'm going to watch the next few over the weekend so I'll be able to make a better judgement. I think I'm going to get into it.

I did notice they are moving events around but they are still getting them to make it flow smoother. My mom is ticked because they changed some of the ages. I had to remind her it is not everyday that a movie that bombed in the box office is given a second chance by being done as a TV show and that Cassie had to possible give on things toake this happen.

message 96: by [deleted user] (new)

I finally have internet! After 2 months of living here, my husband finally got me internet and now I cant be a little more active and can see everything clearer than on a phone! I'm so happy!!!
