Our February group read theme is Non-Stop Action. Books that are chock-full of 'breakneck' action. You're free to nominate any book you'd like that fits this description with the below considerations in mind.

Considerations:

1. One nomination per group member. The books must be nominated with a Goodreads link by clicking on 'add book/author'. If a book does not have a Goodreads link, it will not be added to the poll.
2. Books need to be readily available, ie, in print (able to buy new or in ebook format).
3. Books should have some degree of action/adventure content.
4. Past group reads are not eligible to be nominated again. The past group discussions remain open for members to comment. You may see the list of past reads here:

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

5. Books must be either standalone or first in a series (or they may be later in a series if constructed to be read as a standalone).

The poll will go up on January 6th.

This book is available in either paperback or Ebook format. It came out back in the 1970s and is firmly in the "pulp school" of action. You'll see echoes of some comic book/graphic novel characters [the Punisher etc.] and other action heroes/heroines that have shown up sense.

War Against the Mafia

Jim (jimmaclachlan) Before there was Jason Bourne (by 7 years) there was The Gemini Man by Richard Steinberg. Pretty much similar overall & available in all formats.

One of the most action-packed books I have ever read. FAST: A Military Thriller. A fairly new author, but definitely worth the read for action lovers!

It starts at 150mph on the first page and doesn't let up until the last page is turned!

Loved the warning. I'll read it just because of this.

The nominations period is over and the poll is up. You can bring it up next time when it suits our next group read theme.

I didn't mean it as a warning...more of an endorsement! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
