Did you get a sense right from the beginning that Harry was not really a part of the brotherhood of police officers?

Absolutely. Harry is NOT a team player as suggested from his conversation with the desk sergeant.

I agree. You get that almost immediately.

Agreed. I doubt, of course, that we'd see a series about a guy who does routine things in a routine way.

I also got the feeling early on that Harry was more prone to do things the way he feels they should be done even if it runs contrary to the rest of the police or his chain of command.
