Majo (mary_avina) | 21 comments hi guys, has anyone read the 5th wave. is it any good? I want to read it but I don't know, because I heard it has a love triangle and I'm not really a fan of them. I really like the post-apocalyptic idea, though.
Thanks!

After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.

Now, it’s the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth’s last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie’s only hope for rescuing her brother—or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up

Kylee Schnorf (kylee_heath) I'm reading that now and I'm almost done and i Absolutely love it.

Ally (allymegl) I just finished reading it and I would totally recommend it. It is super interesting and the writing is great. It is written with 3 different perspectives, which I thought was pretty cool. You should pick it up! :)

aly (thebestofaly) I've read it and it is good! The love triangle definitely isn't a major part in it—at least not in the first book. Yet I can't quite seem to be interested enough in the second book... I've tried to start reading it probably three times now and it didn't really get my attention.

aly (thebestofaly) Well, its ending does ask for a sequel... Something really big happens towards the end (and there are two parts of it: one quite predictable and another one more unexpected) and it finishes like a TV series would do before a hiatus. The second book is called The Infinite Sea and its reviews are mixed, but mostly good ones.

aly (thebestofaly) The 5th Wave is good. The Infinite Sea I haven't read yet.

Melissa Ramirez (melissaramirez) | 281 comments I haven't read it yet, but it sounds interesting!! I think they're making a movie (figures) with Chloe Grace Moretz as Cassie...but it doesn't come out till March 2016.

Apocalyptic/dystopian settings are some of my favorites; but the Hunger Games (specifically book 1) has kind of soured the subgenre for me, as of late. Or maybe it's that everyone and their whole family seems to be jumping on the I Can Do A Dystopian Book Too! Bandwagon.
Anyway. I might give the 5th Wave a try!

Natália Lopes (silkcaramel) I'm hoping to start it soon, I've been hearing a lot about the series and I decided to gigivit a try. the summary seems interesting enough and i do love me a good dystopian ya!

Natália Lopes (silkcaramel) I'm halfway through the book and I'm loving it. It is action packed and the characters are badass!
