Jülie ☼♄  (jlie) | 6581 comments Marianne wrote: "gee, Jools, those last nine books are thin ;)"

Hahaaaaaa! Yeah that's how I get through them so quick! ;)

message 57: by Jülie ☼♄  (last edited Apr 19, 2016 03:36AM) (new)

Jülie ☼♄  (jlie) | 6581 comments I like to save the spaces ahead of time so that they are not broken up with commentary...it's also incentive to fill them in :))

that's very clever

message 59: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn | 9836 comments I wondered why she did that (but was afraid to ask!)

message 60: by Marianne (last edited Apr 19, 2016 09:48PM) (new)

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments Never be afraid to ask! Jools is very friendly, as you well know....
I was just being cheeky!

Jülie ☼♄  (jlie) | 6581 comments Lol!! It never occurred to me how that must look to others...do you get notifications with just numbers on them?? eek (⊙_☉)

I love the commentaries but if they come between books I can get muddled with where I was at, so I space them 10 apart ;) that way we can chat about them between each ten...does that make sense? :D

message 62: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 79977 comments Mod
Yes Jools - a notification for each and every number;P

message 63: by Marianne (new)

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments If you have your notifications set that way. I certainly don't, but as a moderator, I guess you would have to...

message 64: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 79977 comments Mod
LOL! No I only get the first one Marianne:) But as I was here, each time Jools posted, I checked straight away, so therefore I received each notification! In the end I didn't check her for awhile;) My fault entirely!

message 65: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn | 9836 comments Well you've certainly got a lot of chat now between your books, about the gap between your books, so I guess that justifies your system :D

Jülie ☼♄  (jlie) | 6581 comments Carolyn wrote: "Well you've certainly got a lot of chat now between your books, about the gap between your books, so I guess that justifies your system :D"

Hahaha! Sure does, but I didn't realise that is what happened. I wonder if there is another way??

message 67: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn | 3569 comments Julie, you could set up a number of posts in the first place and then add 10 books to each - editing to add your books in as necessary - that way you'd have all your books together, unseparated by other people's posts. You might just have to add a new post to say you'd updated post number ____, otherwise we'd never see your updates since you'd only be editing them. Does that make sense or have I made it too complicated?!

message 68: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn | 9836 comments I've been doing something similar for my personal challenge - putting aside a post for each month and then listing the books I'm going to read and then adding reviews as I finish them. Does help to see how I'm going.

Jülie ☼♄  (jlie) | 6581 comments I think I will do it differently for my future challenges and maybe just use one box per eg; ten books and edit as I go :)
I don't add the books ahead of time because they are not always in a specified order...and always subject to change ;)

message 70: by Marianne (new)

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments for my series challenge, I just keep hitting the edit button to add another series or a book read. At the end of the year, I will just copy/paste the whole thing as my effort for the 12 mo

I think I've found a similar way with my AWW Bingo challenge which I was working on (finessing ;) yesterday...
