Great read!

Not quite as edge of your seat as J.M. peace's riveting debut novel, A Time to Run, but compelling all the same.
Twisted Knot is a nicely paced suspense, crime mystery set in a small close knit town called Angel's Crossing.
After a considerable (forced) hiatus, Constable Samantha (Sammi) Willis is trying to ease herself out of the desk work and back into full duties.
Since going on stress leave after a vicious abduction and attempted assault was made on her by a madman the previous year (A Time to Run), she has been on light duties and now feels ready to try to make the transition back into her full uniform and out on the road again with a partner.
No sooner has she made this decision when the usually staid and quiet little town suddenly looks about to erupt into anarchy because rumour has it that "Pete the ped" is up to his old tricks again...hurting little girls.
Sammi is thrown in at the deep end when a group of the town's folk band together and storm the police station demanding that the man be arrested or they will deal with him in their own way.
They are angry because he was previously accused of interfering with the young daughter of one of the women present and was not arrested for it. That young girl later died of a drug overdose, and the town's folk blame him and haven't forgotten that he got away with it.
Now he is accused once more but they won't say who the victim is...again making it difficult for the police to take action.
Things start to boil around the small town with threats being made and people demanding action be taken.
The tension is building with every turn of the page, what happens from here is a real twisted knot of a story.

Another great read from this new author following on from her excellent debut of A Time to Run, this was a well paced suspense with lots of action on every page which I was reluctant to put down.

I will certainly be looking for more from this author. 4★s

Many thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for my copy to read and review.
