Uh are all of you also struggling to get through this day!

Welcome to the bookclub Kat, its nice to have yo..."
Carolina is... quiet, for the most part, especially in the country. It's pretty warm for the US, but not compared to South Africa, I guess. A lot of football fanatics here (the American kind, we call the other soccer ha ha). Thanks for welcoming me to the group! :)

I'm born and bred in Port Shepstone (KZN South Coast), lived in Cape Town for about six years while I was at 'varsity and now I'm back in Port Shepstone.
Born in Joburg, eventually convinced parentals to send me to boarding school when I was 13. Spent four years in Bloemfontein. Came to Port Elizabeth to study in 1996 and have never left! Love the Friendly City...

I'm from Alberton in Gangster's Paradise...aka Joburg.

It is one of the quietest, slowest places in the country.
We have a total of 2 night clubs (which are populated by 16 year olds) and a bunch of bars that are populated by pervy old men. I own more books then the libraries here do.
At least I get to wake up and look at the ocean everyday.

You know as beautiful as it is - I wouldn't mind living in an area that is a little more populated and not so tourist driven. It's tough to get by here if you run your own business. It gets crazy quiet when all you zany tourists aren't here clogging up our roads.

@ Angelique! LOL - Sounds like the town I grew up in!
Queenstown's also one of those - if you blink you'll miss it places!
I'm currently in the Blouberg area.
Due to all the roadworks traffic currently SUCKS!
Though I guess its still not as bad as JHB traffic!
I must admit I'm more of a mountain person myself.
THough - I guess if I could live ON a mountain with an ocean view - that would be pretty damn awesome!! :P
