Hi Melanie aka Helena. I'm another Canuck hailing from Alberta. I also have a large dog, a Malamute, named Zeus.

HelenaMelanie, I love all of your profile pics, but the one of Pax and (I assume) your daughter sleeping in the car is ADORABLE. *adores*

I wouldn't doubt that for a minute, mals being food thieves extraordinaire. Don't get me started on that, I have a ton of stories about my mal/shep mix!
Hi Melanie! Nice to meet another Canadian...I live in Mississauga. I pass through Niagara often because my brother goes to school in Buffalo.I didn't mind large dogs until I saw all those teeth in your profile pic! I hope he/she was just smiling?

Hi Hanna! The dog was playing, no worries- he was trying to 'catch' snow... I'm in Buffalo often (yesterday, in fact) my husband is from there.
My wife's family are just outside of Jamestown, NY, so I've been to Buffalo many times over the last fifteen years. That Knox (I think that's what it's called) Museum is pretty good.
Yes, it’s The Albright Knox Museum- I haven’t been for a few years, but was actually planning a visit there soon, it’s not bad at all. I’m going to take my daughter there and to the Buffalo Museum where they have a Chronicles of Narnia exhibit until May. My husband still works in Buffalo, and all his family lives there, so we’re there every couple of weeks or so.
I visited the Albright-Knox last year--really nice museum. The collection is especially strong in modern and contemporary art.
Frida Kahlo, Self-portrait with Monkey, 1938
That is a nice museum. My mother likes to go stare at the Clifford Stills paintings for hours at a time.
It is funny the different things you look at. I was mesmerised by the length of her neck.

I thought the same thing. My eyes went straight to the brows and I went, "UGH!". I had to pull back to look at the rest of the painting...

It's a girl monkey and that's her tail. No, it's her arm. After reading The Lacuna a deperately want to know Frida.
Okay, random question here. How many TC-ers actually know each other in person, either before joining TC or after)? Just curious. And seriously? Forget the eyebrows, what about the stache?
And look, it's absolutely adorable how the monkey is imitating the woman's expression.Disclaimer: I obviously don't know much about Frida Kahlo.
Pssst Hanna, none of the TC's are real. We are a figment of your imagination.
i have not met anyone live. i think it is a conspiracy. they can come visit any sunday from 2-4 after passing security and the metal detector. sorry, i'm not allowed conjugal visits though
Okay, that explains it all Gail. I should stop taking those pills from strangers.Larry-I think she's talking about all types of monkeys in general, including those made of fabric.
If Larry is to make it, we might need to meet at your centre a few years earlier Kevin.
