I know, you'd think there would have been one before him. But no, there were Jewish judges, with Italian sounding names, but no Italian, until Scalia.
I hate Scalia.

I thought RA was a vegetarian. Was it tofu bacon? Or tempeh bacon, perhaps? Either option sounds pretty gross to me.

It was in a thread where he was talking about his recon (nizance?) being available to the highest bidder or something and I misread it.

Yep, a resident of the True North, strong and free. I've only lived in the Toronto area, though...I've only been to Montreal and some parts of Ontario but have yet to see all of Canada. I envy people who've done the cross country thing via train. One day?

I spent most of my childhood in TX and KS so I used to have this patriotism but now I'm starting to embrace my Canadian side more.

Thanks!

Forgive me if I'm slow with catching on...RA's bacon? Scalia?? Hmm this is going to take some time.

message 1415: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) It's worth it, though.

I wish there was a plug, like in the Matrix where I can hook up my brain with everything TC. lol

message 1419: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) That would be too much raw knowledge for a mortal, Hanna.

message 1420: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments yes, i just slept with my head on my macbook (ala edgar cayce) and soak in all TC

Félix (habitseven) Excellent Kevin.

I think you're right, Larry. The collective minds of TC is a force to be reckoned with...I don't think I could handle that kind of responsibility.

Jammies Pssst, Hanna, I'll be happy to write your report for you. Small fee, short wait, guaranteed to get you at least a B.

message 1424: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) (She's really good, Hanna. You should take her up on it.)

Don't feel too bad Carol. I think they wanted to chuck me out after my first few posts. :)

message 1427: by Carol (new)

Carol | 1678 comments I'd glomp you Gail, but I'm not entirely sure how :)

message 1428: by [deleted user] (new)

...and I don't know what a glomping is so I can't help you. :D

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Oh crap, we need approval to stick around? I'm outtie.

message 1430: by [deleted user] (new)

You can join Carol and me Stacia. There is the inner circle then there is the hangers-on (that's us). But heck, at least we're allowed to hang-on. :)

message 1431: by Carol (new)

Carol | 1678 comments don't worry, they can't make us leave!
except there are 172 moderators, maybe that is a power they have...

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) We'll be over at the cafeteria table by the stinky garbage cans.

I never got it right the first time, did I? So what's the true story behind tHe toes and more importantly, why the heck do you have more toe pictures??

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Oh, and then Sally, much to her eternal credit, posted the bloody toe picture on about twenty threads so people couldn't avoid it. That was an awesome day in TC history.

message 1442: by Jim (new)

I read up to the bloody toes on my blackberry but now I'm in a public place and I must put this away...finish the rest later. (In the meantime, must find a cute picture to detox my retina)

message 1444: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I never got any kind of approval either. Sally tried to chase me away a couple of times. No, I'm kidding about that part.

message 1445: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments Sally has chased you around with a ficus tree a few times, Larry.

I have been neither approved nor subjected to any kind of hazing ritual in my time here. Just as well.

message 1446: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) The Ficus is a piece of the history here.

message 1447: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments I was never approved either, but once I found the recliner and beer behind the ficus I've tried to conform so that I get to stick around.

message 1448: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Wait a minute, you guys didn't get a special hand-knit Terminal Coffee sweater in the mail with your initials on it? I thought you all got one--that's how we recognize each other in the meat world. AND the secret handshake, right?

message 1449: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11852 comments I got a sweatshirt with the TC logo on front & a giant "GR" on the back.

For the secret handshake I just use the Sure Sign of the Nail.

message 1450: by Carol (new)

Carol | 1678 comments ohno, I knew it!
I'll be at the cafeteria table with Stamy and Gail.
