Matt is a cold hearted assassin willing to kill anyone for any reason, if fact he really doesn't care about the reason at all. So when he gets hired to take out some kings sorceress he gladly takes the job. Though he doesn't care about the why he does completely understand this one. If he kills the sorceress then he takes away the kings advantage, since this women is able to see in the future he is able to plan his attacks and defenses accordingly. Since the king is trying to take over all of Egypt and make everyone his slaves it would be a good idea to take out his advantage. They would have hired him to kill the king but he is heavily guarded and said to be the best swordsmen in the world. Has even been told to be able to catch an arrow.
When Matt finally breaks into the castle or whatever you want to call it he decides to change the plan up a bit. He kidnaps the sorceress, in hopes of luring the king out of his castle to get her. Plans don't always go well though and thing kind of go down from their.
Cassandra is a sorceress being more or less forced to work for the king. She hates everything he stands for, but it doesn't keep her from divulging the information from her visions. Luckily she doesn't have to worry about the king trying to take advantage because legend says that if and when she loses her purity she will lose her visions.
((P.S. Can change the names to whatever you like, and can be in whatever time period you would like.))

Cause I kind of wanna play the assassin.
Then did you want us each to play someone going around finding support from the rebellion?
Then each someone supporting the king, and or the king?
Then someone at the rebellion camp?
As minor characters? That sounds good. I'm okay with having the sorceress :) Just commenting so I can save this and get notifications. Thanks for making the topic!

He is very loyal to his king and would die for him in a second. AS the kings right hand man, he often offers advice and helps wherever he can. He can't wait until the war is over and they enslave all of the rebels.

Since you already have yours up, do you have a preference as to what my side characters are? Do you want me to make them so there's side romances or nah? Maybe between someone in the rebellion and someone working for the king? Or something?

Well how about for now I just make my characters and we can decide later :P
Name: Evangeline Mersjif
Nickname: Eve
Alias: Evan
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Height: 5'7
Weight: 143 lbs
Appearance: the young woman has sharp features on her face, creating a sharp beauty that is only sided by her piercing green eyes. She has a thin, agile build and easily (i.e. has before) passes as a man, if she so wishes, with a few tweaks. She has hip-length jet black hair.

Markings: She has a long, thick scar from the edge of her jaw down a couple inches past her collarbone. A branding of the King's symbol is ugly scarring on the back of her neck. She also has a twin scars on each of her wrists.
Personality: Everyone in the commonwealth of the kingdom has only seen the King's young sorceress from a healthy distance; always in the background, always wearing discreet clothing. Even with the little information they have, everyone in the commonwealth has heard tidbits and rumors of the girl in the King's grasp. A retched witch, ugly and bitter and evil. Old, frail, wicked in the cunning things she helps the King with.
In reality, a young woman has been hidden away since she came of the age of thirteen. She is kind, and sweet, but by no means ignorant or immature. She's been trying to plan a sort of escape for her nine years, yet she is so heavily guarded that she has no hope of ever being able to leave.
Apparel: The given wardrobe for the woman mostly consists of pretty, and dark clothing. A corset-style bodice and dark, loose skirts. She is usually forced barefoot but has a pair of boots for when she travels with the king.
Adornments: The king has always had Evangeline wear a mask or veil to conceal the woman's beauty. No one other than the King has ever laid eyes on her features because of this. Otherwise, she is also accompanied by heavy shackles at her wrists and feet.

Thanks! How do you want to start? Just in the moments before he goes to kill her or more like hours before?

I'm cool with just going straight to the moment before he goes to kill her.
How about we do a little bit with Alec and him, just to set the scene, then move on to the moment before he's about to kill Evangeline?

The hot tavern spilled sounds that ached Alec's ears. It was the lowliest tavern in the city, actually, flat in the middle of the poor district close to the castle. At the young assassin's words, Alec tipped his head in incline to the man. "45 thousand," he said in his foreign accent. Of this land, anyway. "In gold. Sound reasonable enough?" He wasn't going to tell him the job until he got an okay, although an okay wasn't a promise.
((Sorry about this, but could you please comment on the other thread? My phone's notifications are so stupid >_<
Also sorry it took so long; I fell asleep))

"Fine." Alec uncrossed his arms, trying to loosen up his brute posture. "Seventy." It was a ton to raise, but he had that and more. His troops were worth way more than that. He waited for a surprised reaction from the assassin. Hopefully he wouldn't back out for that sum.

Alec nodded. "I figured as much. You'll get half sum later tonight. It will arrive at a disclosed location." He slid a piece of paper across the table, with the name and the location of the money on it. "I want it to be clean, okay? No messing around." He left the tip for the bartender on the table as he stood. "If I find you've gone running off with your new information, I'll have your guts displayed for all the commonwealth to see." He didn't wait for a reaction before turning and leaving, eyes on the tall man as he strode away.

Aubry sighed softly as she walked down the street, not really sure how she was suppose to carry out her assignment. She had to recruit members for the rebellion, but she also had to do it quietly so she didn't know what to do. If she talked to the wrong person she could end up getting into a lot of trouble, which was bring trouble to the rest of the rebellion.
Sarai was on her way back from a quick, off-duty errand when she saw a pretty young girl she didn't recognize in the square. She narrowed her eyes slightly when she saw the girl approached by a tall man with long hair. Neither of them she new to be known traders, and the girl looked like she was searching for someone. Weird.
"Have you found anyone on the list?" Alec asked lowly, not in the direction for Aubry, as he walked up behind her, pretending to survey a trading cart in front of him.

Aubry shook her head slightly and resisted the urge to look back at him. She was having a hard time finding anyone on the stupid list, it wasn't like there was pictures to go along with the names. She'd manage though and she was sure that she was close to finding the first guy on the list.
After a moment of watching the two, Sarai got one last look at the faces before shaking her head and leaving in annoyance, jogging back towards the castle.
"You have little time before we have to get out of the city and back to the rooms we saved," Alec grumbled. "Or else we'll get caught up in the trouble that's about to happen."

"Got it Al, really don't need you breathing down my neck" Aubry said and walked away from him and over to the merchant she's watching. From the info the last few people gave her she was sure that this was the guy she needed to talk to. She smiled kindly at the man, "Hi, uh... Mr. Kalle?" she questioned.
Alec grumbled in annoyance. "Don't call me Al," he muttered, but it was too late. The middle age merchant's head lifted to survey the girl in front of him. "It's pronounced like the leaf plant. You know, Kale. Not Kal-Ey," he corrected, although it was actually the code-phrase.
...
"And then there will be a fleet of men guarding at this post..." Evangeline's voice had a soft, humming lilt to it, underlying the richness of her accent. She lifted her bare face to the King, as they were the only two in the room, although she avoided his eyes.
"Fine." His voice was gruff and deep. The King drew on the map with her instructions before raising his hand and tracing the long scar from her jaw to chest, then cupping her cheek. "Good work, darling. Now go rest."
Evangeline's eyes were heavy. Seeing made her exhausted. She obeyed the order and left, putting her veil on before the guards came in to escort her to her room.

Lucas rode slowly towards the kings palace, thinking about his objective and how he was going to take care of her. It was almost as bad as taking out the king, but whatever. He said he's take care of it and that's just what he planned to do.
"Tell your boss that I'm not going to put up with rotten goods again," Kalle muttered to the girl, still accepting the envelope. He dismissed her by turning to face the back of his cart, shooting a glance at whom he knew to be Alec standing a ways away.
The guards dare not touch her- not even try to catch a glimpse of the face beneath the dark veil. She walked in the middle of the heavily armed men, five in total. The escorted her into her rooms, but over the years good behavior had allowed her to be left alone. The checked the room for threats before leaving, two still standing outside the doors and the others dispersed thoroughly in the halls. She undressed into her nightclothes -keeping the veil on- before she crawled with heavy limbs into bed, a small headache growing. She fell asleep quickly, dreaming of future horrors for her kingdom.

After several hours Lucas finally made it into the palace and made his way towards the sorceress's chambers. He's listened in on a few of the conversations between the guards and from that was able to figure out where her room was. He didn't move through the hallways, though. He climbed up onto the roof of the palace, and moved quietly so not to be noticed. When he reached the window to what he knew to be the sorceress's room he carefully climbed in.
Alec watched the exchanged and grunted in reply, loitering for a little while before heading out of the market and to the hotel he and Aubry had gotten rooms in. It was on the outskirts of the city, so that they could keep a watch and make sure the assassin did as promised.
Deep, troubled sleep was disrupted with a vision of a figure leaning over Evangeline in her bed. She woke, not daring to pick up her head as she slid her hand underneath her pillow and to the one weapon she was allowed to have- an intricately carved dagger. She kept her eyes closed, almost falling asleep again until she heard the soft creak of her window, which made her peek an eye open again.

Lucas moved across the floor quietly over to the bed and loomed over the sorceress. He stared down at her for a moment before pulling out his dagger to make the kill. He didn't want to stay in this palace longer then he had to.
Once Alec reached the pub and inn combo, he went inside and ordered dinner for himself and Aubry. He brought the food up and knocked on her door before answering, tossing the wrapped sandwich to the girl. "We won't be able to get the rest of the list done tomorrow if the streets are too crowded," he said, obviously a little annoyed that the list wasn't taken care of. He knew Aubry couldn't have handled it all on her own, so he wasn't frustrated with her.
The air in the room grew cold, and the sorceress tried to fumble for the dagger. As she felt the figure looming over her, the dagger slipped back and fell off the bed with a clank, alerting the person that the woman was awake. "Shit," she whispered under her breath, wincing as she prepared for a blow. She wasn't able to use magic with these enchanted shackles- therefore she couldn't defend herself.
