Laura Agnella (lagnella) What is your first book for 2016 going to be?
I have several on my TBR list but I'm leaning towards The 5th Wave since the movie is coming out in a few weeks. My son and I are going to read it together and then compare the movie. I'm looking forward to it!

Laura :)

Susan Peterson (fuzzyhead77gmailcom) | 2 comments I think it will be 5 Days Left. I've had it on my Kindle for a while, and it's been highly recommended by friends recently.

Great question, Laura! Hmmm...Keeping with reading fiction over the break from school, I think the first book for 2016 will either be SEE ME by Nicholas Sparks or FEED by M.T. Anderson.

I've read all of Nicholas Sparks' other books, so I'm excited to read his newest one...I just love getting swept away in the worlds that he creates! And FEED is a recommendation from my librarian friend, Sarah.

It will definitely be one of those! :)

Jamey Boelhower | 6 comments I am trying to decide... I have a huge "need to read" list. I know I will have three to start. I am a location reader, I have three spots with unique books for each spot. Got to get to my list.... :)

Ben | 3 comments Eleanor & Park for me!

Joan (justreadingabook) | 1 comments I just started On the Divinity of Second Chances by Kaya McLaren.
Kinda a different style of book for me. Each chapter has different characters speaking separately, so you are getting the story through each of them instead of it all together in a story style. Interesting getting an inside look into each character's perspective on the same thing.

Jamey Boelhower | 6 comments Got my 3 books chosen. On my nightstand is Stephen King's 11/22/63. The book by my chair in the living room is Bum Rush the Page. And my travel book is Elmore Leonard's Be Cool.

Megan (megsterftw) | 2 comments My first book finished in 2016 was Lost for Words by Edward St. Aubyn, but I started it before Christmas. My first book read entirely in 2016 will be The Bell Jar.

Jeffrey Keefer (jeffreykeefer) | 9 comments I am reading 2 books - The Eye of the World (Wheel of Time, #1)
by Robert Jordan (a Christmas gift) and The Art of Communicating
by Thích Nhất Hạnh (I need this more than ever in my work).

Punkin Girl | 2 comments My first book was Sing Me the Anger by Edward Keebler. It was okay.

Now I'm reading The Shopping Swap just for something fun.

message 12: by Lynne (new)

Lynne | 3 comments My first book was Cross Justice by James Patterson. Haven't decided what's next...

message 13: by Joanne (new)

Joanne Toft | 7 comments I finished my first book. It was the re read of Kingsolver's book The Prodigal Summer. I love it for its setting , the way she weaves the plot between three generations and the amount of knowledge she shares about the natural world through the eyes of her characters. It was published awhile ago but a good read if you have not read it.

I love this idea, Jamey, of being a location reader! Tell me more about it!

Joanne Toft | 7 comments I have finished three more books this week - I am reading middle grade fiction and young adult fiction
Book 2 and 3 of this series - P.S Be Eleven and Gone Crazy in Alabama by Williams-Garcia
Under a Painted Sky by Stacy Lee

Eleanor and Park is a great read I thought!

Great idea to have books in all different places. I have a similar structure in that I have one physical book/ebook and one audiobook going at all times. I love listening to the audiobooks on the way to work.

Jeffrey Keefer (jeffreykeefer) | 9 comments I have a lot of books I buy that I somehow never get around to reading, and find that having a sci fi / fantasy novel and a nonfiction / theory / work-related text at the same time make a nice pairing.

That's a great one! I'm actually thinking about reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies... lol.
