Brent ethan hawke , kevin Costner Gillian Anderson, should these actors stick to making movies are their books any good? have they just put their names on a book to make a quick doller?

Michael Some of them are good writers but I don't think they should be limited to one craft.

Kressel Housman Acting and writing are very closely related. The main tool an actor uses is a script, so they have to be good readers. Also, in addition to this book, Ethan Hawke has been twice nominated for an Oscar as a scriptwriter.

Same with Good Will Hunting by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. Hawke's book was very enjoyable. Steve Martin's Shopgirl was very good.

Janet Why not? I've recently read a few self-published works. What gave those people the right to write, but not actors? At least actors can hire editors.
