SOLVED. Within the past 3 years, I read a book about a daughter having to travel to certain locations around the world with an old boyfriend in order to receive her inheritance that her mother left her. [s]

I do not remember any character names but know that one of the locations that they had to travel to was the Grand Canyon. I do believe that there is a second and/or third book as they only went to two or three places that they were required to do so. The daughter and boyfriend start to reconnect through all of the traveling.
