Hi Audrey,
Looks good with the exception that you would put 1 or 3 instead of 3 of 3. That just means you have fulfilled 1 of the requirements under Star-Lord.
Welcome to Team Marvel! :)

Looks great Audrey, although where it says Team Marvel I think you meant to write Team DC?
*halo*
Welcome to the challenge! If you want to add your past books for the year, feel free to stick them all in one big post, and MPauli will tot up the points at the end of the week.

Should I add ones even if others have also filled those categories?

Absolutely. Anything you do will help the team, and everyone can complete the roster. The only things you can't do are villains and books of the month for months that have passed. You can do Grim Reaper this month, but not Poison Ivy for example, or Aeronaut's Windlass but not Uprooted.
Make sense?

absolutely. Every member in Team Marvel can recruit every Marvel character. MPauli gives a special reward if you are the first one to recruit, but you still get credit for recruiting if you aren't the first.
Your aim as an individual is to get books against as many traits as possible.

And yes as Wayland says, there are exceptions for the villains and botm energy cells.
Energy cells are done instead of traits, and they are specifically for that particular months BotM, and are used to make available portal heroes to recruit. If you want to, you can still use the botm against a character. For example, (sorry team) if i do a book of the month, i'll put it against a character and not as an energy cell as I know i'm unlikely to recruit all my characters so I want as many books against traits as possible.
Hopefully I havent confused things by mentioning the Portal Heroes/Energy Cells!

Welcome aboard Audrey, even if you have poor choice in teams ;)
This must have taken a long time to set up -- impressive.
Maybe I'll join DC next year just so there's no hard feelings. :)

Out of interest - and i'm sorry if this has been answered previously and I missed it - does the "Super Ultimate Fantastic Extra Bi-Monthly Group Read" count as an energy cell like other BoTM's? Or just as a standard book read?

"Oh, the one from the Mod special. I see. As I like to keep it clean and simple we're handling this the same way as the last time there was a third book and stick to the two books that were originally nominated by the group.
Let us see if we stick to the bi-monthly schedule and if this is something that is reliable we include it in next year's challenge, but for now I don't want to mess with the point curve that I hopefully predicted correctly for the Energy Cells. I don't want to hit the goals for the Portal Heroes too soon by adding more books that can score points towards them. "
Team Marvel.Agent Coulson/Cheese/Countdown to Lockdown: A Hardcore Journal/2of3.
Mick Foley has multiple nicknames.
I have a question about commissioner Gordon, to protect and serve. Would it count if a character is an ex cop or only if they are currently a police officer?
Grim Reaper 2. Brother of Wonder Man Read a book with "wonder" in the title or where the main character has a brother, who is also a character in the book. (The brother doesn't need to be a pov character) The Book on Bush: How George W. (Mis)leads America The book is mostly about George Bush and his brother Jeb turns up a few times.

What a fantastic book that was. Wonder how long we'll have to wait for a sequel.
Hard to say. I've been spoiled by Nora Roberts - the In Death series is one of my favourites and she manages to put out two books a year, _in addition_ to countless books in other series. She is a fiction making machine.

Hi everyone,
first of all, let me welcome Audrey to the challenge! She signed up for Team Marvel. Hope you enjoy the challenge! And thank you for everyone who explained her initial questions. :)
In terms of points we had a quiet week with Team Marvel taking the win. For them Sam recruited Thor and Clarkiep added Iron Fist to his roster.
For Team DC Lel took the achievement for being the first player to defeat Grim Reaper.
The Energy Cell race went 1:0 in Team DC's favor.

The character should be currently working for the police. Gordon's story is that he worked through the ranks to become Commissoner, so I'd like to have the dedication to the force reflected in his challenge.

It's not that bad. Setting up the thing for the whole year usually takes like 4-5 hours, so an afternoon's time of work.
It's our third year, so the rules are pretty much the same as last year's and setting up a character/villain takes about 10 minutes. For most characters I usually have like 2 cover ideas and 1-2 challenge ideas on the spot. Then I go to their wiki page and look deeper into the lore to fill the remaining challenges and google a nice pic.
Counting points and setting up the post each week usually takes 30-45 minutes with double-checking and editing.

Audrey wrote: "Now, what should I do for the portal hero stuff? Who is open?"
The portal heroes are unlocked over the course of the year. Players contribute points by reading the book of the month. After a certain amount (30 points) the team that reaches it decides upon which hero they want to unlock. The team that unlocked the hero is now allowed to read books for this hero's challenges.
So far, Team DC unlocked Garfield and your Team Marvel unlocked Snoopy.
Through your post I did realize that this wasn't marked yet, so I edited the portal hero post, so now it should be more clear which hero was unlocked by which team.
Each portal hero can only be unlocked once, so you won't be able to read for the Garfield challenges.
