Krazykiwi | 1767 comments The first two books of this series were initially published with "William Jefferies" on the cover. This is a pseudonym for Jeffery Deaver, so later editions have "Jeffery Deaver" in really big print and "writing as William Jefferies" in smaller, and really recent ones just have "Jeffery Deaver".

So far no problem, I've been working through the editions (there are a lot of them, so not finished yet) moving William Jefferies to the first place.

The issues is book 3: It wasn't actually published until ten years later, after the first two books had been republished with both names, and as far as I can tell, even the first edition actually has "Jeffery Deaver writing as William Jefferies" on it.

His own site says "Jeffery Deaver originaly wrote this under the name William Jefferies." But it says it right next to what I think is the original cover, which has Deaver's name right on it (this one, is the earliest edition I can find).

Hell's Kitchen (John Pellam, #3) by Jeffery Deaver

Worldcat has all editions listed as Deaver, but I don't trust them too much in this case, because they have all the editions of the first two books listed as Deaver too, even though the first edition covers don't even have his name on at all.

So I don't really know which authors to put on this book, nor in which order.

Since it does have both names, I would go with the order we're using on the earlier volumes of the series, so William Jefferies first.

Krazykiwi | 1767 comments Thanks Rika, I'll do that. Although maybe not today :)
