Tracey, I'm loving the series you're adding for 2016. I toyed with adding Terry Caleb until such time as I could catch up in Harry Bosch.

I have been pondering over the list for a few months now :-) The first in the Terry McCaleb is up for me next and I'm looking forward to it.
Tracey, I agree with Jonetta. I love the way you've set up your list. I've been thinking for the last month about how I'm going to set up my 2016 list. Do you mind if I use your idea?

I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to set up my 2016 list. Getting inspiration from some of you alls lists :)
Jonetta wrote: "Crystal, you're going to love the Hathaways series! My favorite."Thanks Jonetta, I read the first one and enjoyed. I just picked up the whole series in 1 ebook for 9.99.... too hard to pass up. Plus I love Lisa Kleypas
Jonetta wrote: "Phrynne, I think I read V. I. Warshawski years ago, at least a couple of books."I read one years ago and didn't like it but my taste must have changed because I really enjoyed the ones I have just read.
Robin, I see you added Roxanne St. Claire's Bullet Catcher's series to you list. I think I'm at the same point in the series as you are so I'll try to buddy read with you when you resume.

Hopefully 2016 will be the year to finish this series.
Laura, your series list adds are causing me trouble! I've had to add two more to my own list (Stage Dive and Hard Ink). I have all the books in both series.

My add a book feature is all jumbled up, that's my cue to actually read a book instead of thinking about how many I want to read
I want to read
, which was recommended to me by Sunny, but it's $12.99 with the whipersync deal on audio! The books are so pricey and my library doesn't have them on audio.
the books are on sale but I think I would enjoy them on audio.
I know...I've been waiting for audible to have feature those books on a sale but I always see Kristen Probst book
Jonetta, that Mary Burton series you added looks good. I read senseless series by her and it was good. Only 2 books.
That Mary Burton series does sound good. I've read some of her historical romances, but haven't tried her romantic suspense. I'll have to keep an eye out for those books.
Stephanie, you have SO many series on your list I'm getting excited about!
Outlander by Diane Gabaldon
Lucas Davenport by John Sandford
Harry Bosch by Michael Connelly
Red Rising Trilogy by Pierce Brown (I've got the final book to read)
Smoky Barrett Series by Cody McFadyen (fully intend to finish)
The Ravenels by Lisa Kleypas
Sebastian St. Cyr by C.S. Harris
And, that list you're contemplating? Will Trent, Graveyard Queen...you'll love! I read the first book in Cork O'Connor and really liked it but haven't found the time to get back to it. (FYI, you need to read Grant County before you start Will Trent.)

Have you read Kleypas' Wallflower & Hathaway series? They're wonderful and led me back to historical romance. There are definitely fun moments but also have some serious elements.
I'm also LOVING the Maiden Lane series by Elizabeth Hoyt, though that's historical mystery & romance, not lite fare. The audio versions are really good.

I am loving the Red Rising Trilogy, even though the first two books have gutted me:)
I don't know if you read any contemporary romance but there are a few authors I use for palate cleansing after my rough and tumble mysteries. Ava Miles' Dare Valley series is pretty wonderful, beginning with Nora Roberts Land. Roxanne St. Claire's Barefoot Bay series, and the spinoffs, are wonderful fillers with characters that have depth. First book is Barefoot in the Sand. Last is Brenda Novak's Whiskey Creek series, beginning with When We Touch.

I have been struggling with The Fiery Cross! I am on chapter 55. It is actually picking up a lot is this just a tease! I wish I could just not read it but been told that I need too so does it stay good for awhile? Whats the best way to finish this book! Ive been sitting on this book for 3 months now and would love to finish it so I can go to the next one! Is the rest of the series well worth it? I hear it is just would like some other opionions to get me excited to read this one faster lol!
Mary, I feel you pain! How about you set a goal.... Example - Read 50 pages a day.... that way you can still read other books but you're still making headway with this one. BTW.... how many pages do you have left?
Crystal I have 453 pages to go! My book only has 979 pages. The print is so small which makes it even worst! I actually have less than I thought! Im hoping to finish it this month! You can imagine how small the print is since its a 1400 page book! Thats a good idea though 50 pages a day maybe.Jonetta I wish I did do the audiobook on this one for sure! Its too late now though because it would take me forever to find chapter 55.
Well Mary, if you did 50 pages a day that would take about 9 days.... and you'd still have time to read something else that is a bit faster paced. Yikes.... that must be pretty small print. I'm so sorry!
I will survive lol! Its a long book also! About as long as a ruler. Its like a brick! I thought the same way. 9 days isnt bad at all! I think Im going to finish Shadow Man first and read a chapter a night then after Shadow Man I will finish the book! Yay! Thanks for helping me! Its the plan!
Great. Glad to help. I listened to the audiobook for that book last month and honestly I didn't think I was going to make it. BUT, was so glad I did and that I didn't skim or miss anything. We should get credit for at least 4 books instead of just 1.... seriously!
Crystal I agree with you! 1400 pages for juat one book! Definately should be 4! I really wish I did the audiobook! I will admit I did skim in some parts, just so sloooow! I had too lol in some parts definately!
Jonetta wrote: "Thanks for the heads up, Crystal, on the new Amos Decker book!"You bet! It's so cool. I didn't think it would be here so soon since The Guilty just came out in November. So cool!
The Fiery Cross was my slowest read/listen of the whole series. Not sure why I struggled, but I did. Definitely glad I listened to it to stop me from skimming. Mary, if you use Audible you can choose to start on Chapter 55 or wherever you want. Makes it very user friendly.
I just finished Perfection by R.L. Mathewson and I was rally surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I wasn't impressed at all with book 1. I never intended to read this series again but of course it was picked for me on a recommended challenge. Now, I will have to get audio #3
