That's maddening how the plots are so different. What's the point of being based off a book! I want to read the book first this time, then watch the movie.:)

I've started watching the show Shadowhunters since I really loved the Mortal Instruments series...but so far the show is falling flat and some of the actors are horrible :(
Seriously, why can't all TV shows and movies that are "based" around the books, be exactly like the books ;) would be nice, lol!

Exactly Steph...there's a REASON why the books are popular...THE STORY!
Seems so simple and yet they have to "change" things...blah blah

@ Steph: I've been watching that too, second episode and I just couldn't watch it, it seems waaay to teenag-ey and it seems too sexualised, the looks the girls give, the soft spoken speech, there is just no need. It seems ridiculous, and I much prefer the movie cast to the series cast.

Same here, Sarah! I saw the third episode and this one was just, what?!? I wish there would have been more movies...I prefer that cast over this one now that I have seen more than one episode.

lol. It does seem unnecessary. I wonder why they didn't do movie and instead a series. Do you know why?

There were plans for a second movie in 2014 but it never came to be, unfortunately :(
Some websites say the first movie didn't do as well as hoped so maybe that is why?

Oh I see. Aww that's a shame. I thought the movie was pretty good. Not great, it defo could have been better. But I liked the actors so much more, the mothers actress Lena Headey is a favourite of mine.
