That *has* to be a goodreads record or something!

Although this year was super busy with a large move and NaNos.
I read next to nothing last month. :D

Welcome to the 100 book reading challenge!
You guys are quite prolific. Can't say that I read as many books as the rest of the gang here. But nevertheless, I'm up for the challenge. It should be very fun. Getting way TOO EXCITED. Still scouting books to add to my readers hit list.
Thanks everyone!
Thanks KM!
Have fun.
Benjamin

I'm pumped! New year, here we come!
In NaNoWriMo, it's all about building up your word count, preferably to 50,000 words in 30 days. It's all about words written. Write. Write. Write. But I wonder how many words will be read collectively in this years 100 book reading challenge. Sweet huh? Yup. Read, read, read. Time to do some serious eyeguzzling.
Here's my list if you want to take a peak:

See ya!

I know what you mean. I'll be reading The Wheel of Time this year (hopefully one book a month) and I really want to re-read Lord of The Rings but I have it in the omnibus edition and that's no small commitment.

I've missed reading, and since braille is now easier than print, that is how I will be reading in the future.
Braille books take up a lot of space. And few are in hard copy. I think the numbers are close to 15% of traditionally published novels.
However, with my braille display, I can read any ebook in braille format.
I used to read a book a day, back 30+ years ago.
I am not even sure I completed one in the last year, due to my vision issues. Other than course materials, of course. I read "A Wrinkle In Time" in braille between December and January last year. I can't remember if it was two, or three large volumes.
At his point, simpler reading in braille is easier. Give me a year, and I hope to move onward to more advanced braille.
Oh, and the whole US braille world is switching to an updated symbol system. And I only learned the new one. Been trying to back track a bit, as I know many brailled items will be in the old code for decades to come.
I'm honestly hoping for 20 books this year.
Though I research frequently online.

Are there programs that convert text to braille on the fly? So you could read any ebook as braille?

There are some expensive machines that will convert text to a file that can be read by a braille display. And by expensive - I mean $1,000 to $5,000. A few phone apps do okay for some things like business cards and such. They range from free to over $100.
Any ebook can be read by my braille display.

I'm in the same boat as you. But ready for the challenge. I've always wanted to dive headfirst into the books I desired to read. This will be a great start! Plus it's great for writing.

Especially after you finished Winter on the second day of winter...

How ironic. I didn't even notice. :)

I'm glad you liked it so much!

I know. I'm with ya. I've got about 3 books I'd like to finish before the end of the year!

I'm reading around 60 books this year. There are a couple I haven't add, but I'll be sure to do so before the year ends.

I'm glad I'm in the 30+ category with you Chad! I've only read 33 this year. Maybe 34 books if I can finish the book I just started.
2015 was a busy year, so I'm hoping to reach (or at least get close) the 100 books goal!

It's always nice to have a group to go for numbers of books with!

"Storming" is the first one on my list for next year!

WOWSERS! Definitely impressive. I think anything in the 150 to 200+ range is absolutely jawdropping. I wish I could read that fast! Sure you're a cyborg? :)

Well KM, looks like you've got some voracious readers here. Awesome! Should be a great year. Whew hew!
