pages 193-194 of the 2015 edition published by Macmillan

"Warleggan was another name taken from a village--this one on the Bodmin moors. A lonely place, and one it is almost impossible to get to without traversing the desolate moorland. Unaltered for centuries, the narrow roads squeeze and twist between blocks of moorstone piled to make the hedge walls, with cattle grids to cross and ancient ramshackle wooden gates green with lichen. "

I had the opportunity to pass through Warleggan recently.

Tanya-Did you see George when you were there? If so did you tell him to start giving his ill-gotten gains to the poor in Truro and the rest of Cornwall? Also, that he should bring about a reconciliation with Ross before it's too late? Did you inform him that a 'Goodreads group of Poldark fans' are waiting for him to turn over a new leaf? Maybe it will happen in Book Thirteen? John David.
