Well, I've been lurking for some time in this group and have decided (at long last) to join the group read on John Connelly. I have wide ranging tastes in books and genres. My favourite at the moment in this genre is probably Sophie Hannah - which is more on the psychological suspense side.
I'm an author myself too and suspense is my thing.
See you around the forum,
Ann Girdharry

Welcome to our group, Dennis! I read Neville's book and really enjoyed it.

Hi Ann, and welcome!

Hi Ann, and welcome!
Welcome all new comers. I am a lowly person who just voratiously reads thrillers and mysteries and many other genres. I am not an author but I give thanks to all those who spill their souls onto pages for the benefit of readers.
Welcome, Dennis. I, too, enjoy Elmore Leonard's books. Welcome also to Ann. If you like psychological suspense, I recommend Sandra Parshall's books. And Annette, as a mystery author, I can say that NO reader is a "lowly person"! Without you, we would not have an audience, and other readers would not have recommendations. I give thanks for you and your kin (and I count myself as one, since I read a LOT more mysteries than I write ;-) ).
Thanks, Beth! Thank you so much for the recomendation for Sandra Parshall's books. I haven't heard of her. You seem like a really nice person and would like a list of your'e books that I should enjoy reading.Annette

you are definitely not a 'lowly' person!

Welcome to all newcomers and thanks to Annette for lyrical description of authors. I am a reader, not an author.

Although I’m an author, I haven’t written in the mystery genre yet (except for the novel I’m working on now). I have a trilogy written in the horror/paranormal/thriller genre. If there is such a thing.
I’m looking forward to being a more active member of this group. -- Dennis
