Christina McMullen (cmcmullen) I mean, if I really wanted to rage, I should rage that they didn't change the color scheme to denote a mod comment. Yellow just isn't my color. I'm a winter.

Oh that would have been a great idea!

Justin (justinbienvenue) | 790 comments So I've been on Goodreads on my phone so I didn't really notice the change until now and I only have one thing to ask...

Hows that saying go? If it aint broke don't fix it? Yeah...sums this up.

L.S. May | 55 comments I don't love it or hate it. There's just something weird about the font. It takes me an extra second or so to focus on it.

K. Kidd | 49 comments I prefer the old color scheme. When I noticed that the color of the stars on the reviews changed to orange I thought my color-blindness was suddenly worse!! :) Sooo...what color are the review stars really?

Review stars are orange or maybe a light shade of red. Wait... am I a bit colour-blind too?

Thank you Chikamso! That makes me feel better. :)

Christina McMullen (cmcmullen) I don't have the color palettes on all of my devices calibrated, so O didn't notice, but yes, the stars do look a bit orangy now that you mention it.

No they look orange to me, too.

Yes, there's that saying. I've always modified it to "if it ain't broke, don't break it." Either applies.

I really don't like the font and color. Very hard to read. Makes me not want to come here = (.

Maybe I'll get used to it.

Chikamso Efobi (cheexy) | 92 comments The app looks the same though so that's not too bad.

Oh, now that I'm kind of used to the new design, they've started running political ads. With sound. Really bothersome late at night when I'm listening to something like R.E.M. and in the middle of it start hearing [politician]* ranting away.

*Name of politician withheld as I don't want to spark a political debate. Let's just say it's not Michael Stipe.

Christina McMullen (cmcmullen) Stipe 2016 for a Shiny Happy Tomorrow.

*Paid for by the Oddfellows Local 151

I guess 12 years is enough time to allow people to forget his failed Vote For Change campaign...he just couldn't win people over with his promises of a Radio Free Europe...

Yes, but he's not a Monster. It seems that it would be Automatic for the People to back him, but some regard him as a Man on the Moon. Well, we can hope. He's not Out of Time, yet.

J.J. Mainor In all seriousness, I love the story behind Life and How to Live it as it relates to indies writers to some extent.

This man built a wall down the center of his house with an apartment on one side with books, clothes, furniture. And apartment on the other side with different books, different clothes, different furniture.

He'd live over on this side for a while until he got tired of it. Then he'd go and live on the other side for a while until he got tired of it. And he flip-flopped back and forth until he died.

When he died, they went in to clean up the house. And in the way back of the house in a closet was a whole bunch of books. Each book was the same. The man wrote this book, had it published, and stacked in the back of this closet. He never sold one or gave one a way.

The name of the book was Life and How to Live It.

If we don't back Stipe, it's Welcome To The Occupation.
