I would like to clarify something for Team Elantra.Isn't it supposed to be 8 points, as it is written in our review thread?
Or there's a different way of counting the points... ?
Thank you ☺

Hey, I don't know if it's possible to adjust it, but the challenge widget says the challenge is ending in January 2017, rather than January 2016
That's because the challenge is supposed to be a year long one that we'll revisit later on, so the widget is set to 1 year ☺

It is a big gap. It looks like some teams only have 3 members participating though. I've messaged everyone on serious teams who haven't posted reviews now ☺
Big difference for sure! I think it can sometimes be a little discouraging, maybe we should have a super serious level, for those crazy speed Readers :-)
Yes, you're doing fantastic you're in the lead, LOL! All I was pointing out is some individuals have read as many books as some teams, so that in and of itself can be discouraging :-)
I think our team is at an advantage because we have all turned up and participated. It must be really discouraging to those who are reading a lot but only have two or three members participating in their team. Good luck everyone! There's still a while to go yet, everything may change. :)
It's frustrating when team members pledge 8 books and only have one review up midway through the month.
With team challenges, some prefer to post all their reviews at the end of the month, which is fine IF the team members know that and that person shows she is actually reading.I'm thinking that maybe, just maybe, the number of books pledged for serious teams should be increased?
I actually think that fun, serious and medium will be most accurate! The only problem that may come with 'medium' is that Sarah and Abbie will be in trouble with coming up with their names haha
Deadly serious, Super serious or Crazy serious...I do think 3 levels would work. Also, I think if you read more than some-%age of what you predicted, that you get less points. So people won't under report their numbers to get an advantage. (Not that anyone does that, but just saying...)
I don't think that would be exactly fair... I can't really predict my workload from one month to the next, and that affects the amount of books I can read. That's why I give a low estimate of books to my group. That way, I can be sure I'll deliver what I promised
I don't think we need to split the teams up anymore than we have, to be honest. We're all here to challenge ourselves to read more, right? Sure it is a competition, but if you don't win it doesn't really matter. There's no real point in being jealous of people that can read faster than you can. They can't change that! And as long as everyone is enjoying themselves, and there's some friendly competition without it being too drama-y, then it's all good. We should all be here to read, not win.
Well said Rachel! In the end it's about reading and challenging yourself to read as many as you can.
I'm not in a serious team, but it's almost half of the month. I think it's not enough that a member checked in before the month the challenge starts. The member is responsible to update her team every now and then. The challenge doesn't require that you go online EVERYDAY, but enough in a week that the entire team knows when she can post reviews. A weekly check-in would be great, at least the team is informed.Like Tati said, it's okay if she posts reviews at the end of the month, but her co-members should know that, too.
Splitting into 3 levels would make it hard for Sarah and Abbie to monitor everything, I think two is enough. (Plus, yeah, it is hard to think of names, though haha)
@Lindsey - Thank you! Exactly. @Mei- Ugh, why do people sign up for group challenges if they cannot commit? I don't understand. Everyone should be checking in to update each other, and if there's a problem let their teammates know! It's not too much to ask for. And that's a good point. Poor Sarah & Abbie already do so much for us, we don't want to increase their work!
